About the role


You are an experienced sales professional, with a flare for account management and new business development. You will apply your proven track record of sales growth to increasing our market share in the “Away From Home” channel, across the full range of Solaris products (including Toilet Tissue, Facial Tissue and Kitchen Hand Towel). You will identify & develop new business across key business verticals and manage and develop a number of national & state-based distributor accounts.

This role will see you drive the growth and awareness of the Livi and Sorbent Professional brands within the assigned territory, managing existing accounts, but also cultivating relationships with new customers.

This is a fixed term to permanent role for the right candidate. If you thrive on delivering great sales results in a high growth environment, then this role is for you!


A day in the life… Business Development Manager


Reporting to the National Business Manager – Away From Home, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Achieve volumes sales, market share and profitability targets set for the territory.
  • Maintain & grow existing accounts through regular visits and implement plans to grow the business.
  • Conduct sales training at distributor level, including presentation of features and benefits of Solaris Paper products.
  • Provide clear, concise and accurate information to the business on competitor activity, market trends and any other reporting mechanisms which are put in place.
  • Ensuring the merchandising of product range to ensure maximum potential is achieved at distributor level and our product range is presented in the best possible way
  • Provide inputs to sales forecasting and new business forecasting
  • Ensure all sales activities are recorded in our CRM System
  • Participation in exhibitions & trade shows


To be successful in this role you must have:


  • Minimum 3 Years of Business to Business selling experience
  • Good understanding of consumer goods categories in the B2B context, with experience in the paper category an added advantage
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Analytically minded and proficient in MS Office/Excel and TEAMS
  • Experience with a CRM System
