Latest budget. QLD DEBT: $124,700,000,000 One hundred and twenty four billion seven hundred million dollars. INTEREST RATE: being paid : 5.2% on $6,484,000,000 annually. Six billion, four hundred and eighty four million dollars per annum. INTEREST PER WEEK:$124,625,384 ($124m week) INTEREST PAYABLE EVERY DAY: $24.9m INTEREST RATE PAYABLE PER HOUR: $1,038,584 per hour. INTERST RATE PAYABLE EVERY 60 SECONDS: $17,309 Queensland Treasure’s numbers broken down to simple terms: Forecast to 2027 it gets worse. Forecast Debt numbers by QLD treasurer in 2026-27 (see below)$171,900,000,000 just under $172billion. MONTHLY INTERST RATE: before any capital repaid is: $1,194,444,444 or one billion one hundred and ninety four dollars per month. Nearly $2 billion PER MONTH just in interest. The Government can only be repaid this debt by Queensland taxpayers. The debt is yours. You own it. There are 2 million households in Queensland. When the forecast debt announced by the QLD treasurer, it reveals the amount of interest owed by each of the 2,000,000 households in QLD will be: You can’t make this up: INTEREST OWED BY EVERY SINGLE HOUSEHOLD IN QLD : $597,222 per month per household. Per month, not per year. So you can see, QUEENSLANDERS can never be repay and each year it gets worse until the state is declared bankrupt and has to sell assets. Queensland Assets to be sold: Airports, ship terminals and ports, dams, power stations, renewables investments, power/water/gas/ vehicle tunnels, bridges, freeways etc to global commercial funds that will need to charge higher prices. As well as sales of assets: QLD will need to Increase taxes, property tax, road fines, registrations, levies on everything, increase royalties on mining and everything else, licensing, stamp duties and the list goes on. This is the real world folks. This is the end result. You cannot unscramble an egg. When it’s scrambled it’s scrambled forever! These numbers are not made up, these are the result of interpretation allowing, people understand the real numbers using QLD treasury’s own numbers. But I have calculated them into simple broken down numbers so the punter can see that Queensland is being buried alive in debt, as is the federal government. The numbers are staggering, but real. Can you imagine what they will be in another 4 years.
