Developed a new web site for Holmen.com in EPiServer CMS 6. Worked together with Söderhavet who did the design and the concept. Among other things, we developed an advanced address search functionality that integrates with Google Maps and Active Directory. Go to http://www.holmen.com/Contacts/.

The site was built using EPiServer CMS 6 C#, JQuery, integration to Active Directory, page providers connecting to the third party press release service.

My responsibilities were project management, synchronizing design and concept into the requirement specification document, writing requirement specification document. I used my modified SCRUM project management methodology as in Östgötatrafiken.se and Eskilstuna.se. The client (Anna Svedberg) joined the daily meetings via phone. Every third week a release to UAT and an on site demonstration for all the stake holders.

Developed the new web site for östgötatrafiken.se with the design done by Antrop. In Sweden there are public transport companies for each county. About 15 of these counties use the same software for the storage of all stations, routes and time tables. This system is a separate web application that is iframed into the corporate web site of the public company. We wanted to enhance the experience for the visitor by making it a part of the corporate web site and using the travel database software as a backend only. We managed to get approval for our ideas and also found a way to work with the travel database software company to use their services in the backend only. This resulted in the first of the 15 public transport companies with a totally integrated web site and search in the travel database.

The integration was done using the quick and easy to use google maps. The user could interact with the map instead of having to know the name of the stand where they wanted to start their travel or end the travel. It also resulted in a visual description on how to travel where you on the map can see where you should do the exchange.

My responsibilities in this project was project management, sales, requirement specification. Technologies used where EPiServer CMS 6, C#, web services, JQuery, Google Maps. My project management model was a modified version of SCRUM. I used a physical SCRUM board and burn down chart. Everyday we had efficient and effective 15 minutes meetings where the customer also was present 4 days out of 5. Each meeting ended with a mark in the burn down chart and a clear objective for the day. This is also where we identified blockages and risks and gave me an early opportunity to mitigate the risks. The important modification of the SCRUM consisted in using hours instead of points, using functions instead of user stories.

Swedish publishing prize for best council web site (both jury and citizens voted).

Eskilstuna.se was a large web site with 40,000 pages and 600 editors. The project started as a small project where the purpose was to only convert the current web site in EPiServer 4 to EPiServer CMS 6. I did the pre study together with Arne, Anna and Martina at Eskilstuna and recommended to build a new web site instead of a simple conversion. This lead to a larger project where we also involved a new web design with our partner Ariom.

The project was done in EPiServer CMS 6 C# and SiteSeeker. We had releases to UAT every third week where I travelled to the client and demoed all the new functionality. I spent a day a month with the client where we worked full on with writing requirements and doing wireframes for new functionality. Together we developed a new process at Eskilstuna were we involved other departments more and more in being a part of the website creation. Historically they have all purchased their own systems for their departments which ended up in many isolated islands of systems with inconsistent design and difficulties to maintain and upgrade. After two years of working together the departments started to come to the web master group for the public web site with their needs. In my monthly meetings we normally had 2-4 meetings with other departments where we specified the requirements for their needs and integrated that into EPiServer. One design, one technology, easy to use.

As a project management methodology I used the same method as in the project for Östgötatrafiken. In the daily 15 minutes meetings our clients joined us via phone and participated in the meeting. I value daily communication with everybody in the project as the very key to success.

My responsibilities in the project was project manager, doing requirements specifications, technical architecture.

Developed a new air incident system called LINDRA for the Aviation department at the Swedish Transport agency. Every year 5,000 incidents were reported via email and manually added into two different systems. This was a tedious and time consuming work. The new system LINDRA allows reporting from their web site. We built the interface in EPiServer CMS. The reports then are sent to Biztalk that will add them to the LINDRA system. Biztalk also take care of the large files of incicdents reported from the large airports such as Arlanda in Stockholm. The users open LINDRA and see the incidents that have been reported. They can add information and then save and commit them. When commiting an incident the incident is also sent to the second system which means that user do not have to enter it a second time (and the firsta time most data is automatic).

LINDRA was built in .NET Web Forms C#, BizTal, EPiServer. We also involved an external interface designer to get an intuitive user interface in the web forms and a nice graphical design. This was at that time very uncommon for web forms applications, but very much appreciated by everybody when seeing the end result. The design was done by the company Ariom.

My responsibilities was project management, workshop leader.
