What are the most common misconceptions about benefits administration and HR strategy alignment?
Benefits might be a direct financial cost to an organisation, but the impact of not having them, or viewing them purely in monetary terms, will be lower engagement, a weakened Employee Value Proposition, increased turnover, and lower recruitment. People and Culture (HR) teams that can develop organisationally and workforce relevant benefits schemes that go beyond the basics will have an outsized impact greater than a cost. These must be more than one size fits all and based on a detailed understanding of your workforce, their needs, interests and how those align to organisational goals. Benefits schemes can not be all things to all people but properly planned & executed in partnership with good leaders will enhance any team's people KPIs.

In 2013 I founded the Ride for HeartKids, a charity event to raise awareness of Childhood Heart Disease (CHD) and fundraise for HeartKids Australia.
The Ride for HeartKids involves cyclists all over Australia participating in individual challenges throughout the year. Since 2013, the Ride for HeartKids has raised over $42 000 for HeartKids Australia and is continuing to grow each year.
Due to the success and growth of this event, all IP and management was formally handed over to HeartKids…In 2013 I founded the Ride for HeartKids, a charity event to raise awareness of Childhood Heart Disease (CHD) and fundraise for HeartKids Australia.
The Ride for HeartKids involves cyclists all over Australia participating in individual challenges throughout the year. Since 2013, the Ride for HeartKids has raised over $42 000 for HeartKids Australia and is continuing to grow each year.
