In this morning's technical workshop for Microsoft Student Accelerator ANZ Varsha Bubathi talked about Building a #PowerAutomate Cloud Flow Varsha is a Microsoft Cloud Solution Architect in the #PowerPlatform business. In this episode Varsha discussed Power Automate, emphasizing its role in automating tasks across different apps and services using #lowcode. She explained the two types of flows within Power Automate: cloud flows and desktop flows, focusing on cloud flows for automating processes involving cloud services. Varsha detailed the components of building a flow, including triggers (automated, cloud, and scheduled) and actions, which define the tasks a flow performs. Demonstrations: Varsha demonstrated creating a flow using Power Automates copilot feature, aiming to send an email reminder of weekly events. She highlighted the ease of use and the potential for customization. Another demonstration involved integrating AI to automate extracting assignment dates from a subject guide and adding them to a calendar. Why PlayWright is better then Selenium? I'll list down some straight forward advantages that PlayWright has over Selenium: 1. No special code to handle browsers like selenium 2. Storage state 3. Built in Reporting and screenshots 4. Retries are made easier 5. Auto waiting and retry assertions 6. VScode extension 7. Isolated sessions 8. Simple integration with GitHub Actions 9. UI Mode and Trace Viewer 10. Does API Testing and is great at it 13. Grouping tests using a Describe Block 14. Accessibility Testing 15. Not having to manage drivers for the Browsers 16. Infinitely better Locator strategies Now, let's breakdown if PlayWright framework is really better then Selenium Framework! : Reporting supported by PlayWright is only available with JS, except this I think all other pros mentioned are far better in PlayWright over Selenium. But what you do? If you are looking for a new job? Learn Selenium or Adopt Selenium as its a go to! Why? Because most of the teams have already invested heavily on its Framework setup and execution cycles. P.S. Onboarding a new RPA team member today and shared with him the 3 key things we believe make an ELITE developer. 1. Speaking up when you don’t understand an ask. 2. Understanding the business problem not just the code 3. Clean structure/error handling/reporting beats processing for more exception paths. After years and years of running RPA teams, these 3 items have always remained the key differences between a good developer and a GREAT one.

I am excited to install and launch Code Builder in a salesforce org. This is much similar to VS Code for salesforce developers. Also we can install extensions like Einstein for Developers and others on it. Steps = 1. Open https://lnkd.in/gDJRCdvZ 2. Provide your details and wait for creation of a fresh org 3. setup > setup > Code Builder > Enable > install for all users 4. Setup > permission set groups > code Builder > assign it to yourself. 5. App Launcher > Code Builder Cherry on the cake is, we get an org with 10 GB storage

Have you ever interviewed a fake Salesforce/MuleSoft candidate? I met a client a few weeks ago who was hiring a MuleSoft Developer and they told me when they last interviewed candidates, every internal candidate was fake/fraudulent and were ChatGPTing answers or someone else was speaking on the video calls for them. The issue is they have enough understanding of MuleSoft/Salesforce to wing a HR screening with buzzwords and 100% could get past an IT Director/CTO who has never worked on Salesforce and need to make their first hire. They know all the right buzzwords, don't immediately know answers to basic technical questions and all of a sudden come out with a textbook answer from GPT. I automatically rejected some, but this guy knew how to answer my questions in better detail, I had my doubts and asked for proof of Certifications before discussing a role - didn't realise Salesforce made grammatic errors "::" and use different fonts on Certifications 😂. My red flags are below: 🚩 No active Trailhead account 🚩 Hidden Colleges/Universities 🚩 Ask for experience with X product or projects worked on, and they tell you what the product is/does vs what they did. 🚩 Has no idea of the answer, 10 seconds later, comes at you confidently with a detailed 100% correct answer 🚩 Usually put their companies down as big banks/companies with 10,000+ employees. I am a Salesforce release/devops engineer tasked with UAT deployments, and do you want to know how my day looks like?? 2 PM - UAT pull request time! Developers dump their combined brilliance into one massive request. My job? Merge it and hope for the best. 2:15 PM - Cherry-picking bonanza begins! I carefully choose which commits to grace the UAT branch as devs, POs ans BA talk about some user stories that crept in but have some gremlins. It's like playing Jenga with the project's stability. 3:30 PM - Cherry-picking complete! The UAT branch is now a beautiful Frankenstein's monster of hand-picked code. I merge it, fingers crossed. 4 PM - Deciphering pre deployment steps. The developers' documentation reads like ancient hieroglyphs. I stumble through, hoping for divine intervention. 4:30 PM - Developers have vanished. I turn to LinkedIn for companionship while awaiting their return from the coding abyss. 5 PM - Deployment job starts its two-hour marathon. Will it succeed? Will it fail? The suspense is killing me! 6 PM - Office pong tournament commences. Each "ping" and "pong" a testament to my unwavering focus amidst deployment chaos. 7 PM - Moment of truth. Deployment failed, as tradition dictates. I copy the cryptic error message and send it off to the developers, like a message in a bottle. 7:30 PM - Developers are nowhere to be found, probably off decoding the ancient deployment scripts in their secret lair. 8 PM - Another day, another UAT deployment attempted. I leave the office, the unsung hero keeping the release process chugging along, one cherry-pick at a time. Salesforce Developers #SalesforceDevOps

Reporting from the land of Salesforce Einstein Prompt Builder, I have now completed the Quest! #BuiltWithEinstein My verdict: - It is powerful. - Straightforward to adapt and use for simpler requirements. - Needs a solid base and understanding of how prompts should be written. - Mastering Flows will help you get more out of it. - Needs lots of trial and error to generate the right results. - Testing is key. High-level Strategy for adoption:  The fact that it is in the early stages gives you the liberty to start with simplistic scenarios of generative AI. Try your hand at all the OOTB options available e.g. Sales Email, Field Generation, Record Summary, etc. Use these individually and then progress to calling these from Apex or Flows. Go a level deeper by combining Prompt Builder with Flows, so use a prompt in a flow or flow in a prompt. Run the prompt several times to ensure the results are accurate. The more you use the more you will know how to use it so have faith and keep going. From a Business perspective: Sit down with your business team/end customer and identify scenarios that you could use this genAI for and then work on creating prompts around them. Categorize the requirements into the 4 types of prompts that are available as of today and then work on them one by one showcasing the business the value that these prompts will add. https://lnkd.in/gZ7Dqbmt High Impact Video by Ajay Balamurugadas, Even though I have been part of many of his workshops and trainings, but this one in hindi struck me at another level. 😊 There were many things explained in a crystal clear manner and here are few key takeaways- -Playing an Expert game -Add value to your work/project/company -Learn to Learn -Your career is not equal to job -Do projects on your own to utilise the skills and build your portfolio -Do your work in 50% of time and use another 50% of time to learn how to do work in half of the time. -Keep Learning daily and keep Improving -Take care of your Health And finally, don’t keep on working on the same projects for years and get stuck 😀
