Hey Linkedin community! Today we have launched our first Podcast "Behind the Product" where we take an incredibly informal approach to discussing all things Product Management behind the scenes. I would love to get your feedback on the topics we have published so far, format, tone of voice etc. Also any feedback on topics that you would like our crew to cover, just drop me a note or feedback in the comments section below (it's basically free consulting advice :)). In true Product Management style this is our "test & learn" launch so all feedback and comments are welcome! Appreciate your support!!!! https://lnkd.in/ebj-pY6N

I apologise in advance to all my HR & Recruitment colleagues 😳 In my opinion, those that are responsible for recruiting Product Managers/Owners more often than not get it wrong for one reason. They don't take the time to understand the intricate details and associated product lifecycle characteristics of the product for which they are recruiting a candidate for, and then match the candidate against those product needs. There are 12 core competencies a Product Manager will or should exhibit with differing levels of depth against each competency. Understanding how these map back to product lifecycle characteristics & needs will give you the greatest chance of securing the right Product Manager fit for that product, at that point in its lifecycle. #productmanagement #productowner #hirethebest

Some research we recently observed suggested one of the main issues impacting Product Managers mental health was Imposter Syndrome. To be honest I reckon I suffer from this periodically so we thought it would be a great topic to discuss on our PodCast which will be released soon. If we can open this up and talk about it in our Product Management community then we can better deal with it. I would love to hear your thoughts.... #impostersyndrome #productmanagement
