Vasey RSL Care Brighton East residents were delighted to attend the Caulfield RSL for a Veterans' Lunch on Saturday 14th July, commemorating the 1940 Battle of Britain. Our thanks to Greg, Rob, James and Caulfield RSL members for welcoming us to your beautiful venue. It was wonderful to see so many Veterans and War Widows reconnect and come together in this way. We are thrilled to announce that one of our amazing volunteers, Rose Capp, has written a book titled 'Demystifying Dementia: Everything You Need to Know', and it's officially available for purchase. Rose has a long and distinguished history in the research of dementia. As a registered nurse and dementia-care educator in the residential aged-care sector, she developed a special interest in and commitment to best practice dementia care. For many years, Rose worked with us here at Vasey RSL Care, and she continues to volunteer at our Brighton East site, where she teaches choir. Rose is a true superstar, and we are incredibly lucky to have her as a part of our Vasey family. A huge shoutout to Dave and the amazing team at Guitars for Vets for their generous donation of guitars and amps to the V Centre! We are incredibly grateful for your support.
