Rubicon Water is a publicly listed company (ASX:RWL) with a vision to sustainably increase global food and fibre production through improved water use efficiency. We do this by delivering advanced technology to managers of gravity-fed irrigation networks, enabling them to manage their water resources with unprecedented levels of efficiency and control. Last week, we completed the installation of four large FlumeGates in an impressive structure constructed by Entracon Civil Pty Ltd in Kununurra, WA, for client, Water Corporation as part of their Stage 2 expansion project with the Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development. This regulating structure is a crucial component of the Ord River Irrigation Scheme, marking the first regulating structure downstream of the Ord River on the M1 offtake, with water supplied by the stunning Lake Argyle and Lake Kununurra. By upgrading the monitoring and control on the M1 channel, these automated FlumeGates will support increased flow capacity, helping to boost agricultural production within the region. This week, Peeter Pelisaar, Nurbek Dairbekov, and Anthony (Tony) Oakes attended the Third High-Level International Dushanbe Water Process Conference on Water for Sustainable Development in Tajikistan. Our recently completed Uzbekistan/Tajikistan border measurement project was highlighted by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation as a significant "Blue Peace" initiative, shown in the image below. Our team also met with officials from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan, as well as representatives from development banks. It's promising to see our technology gaining increasing interest as a solution to address regional water challenges both now and in the future. Major earth works at Roach’s Reservoir, near Yanco, are complete, and the inlet and outlet channels are now cut into the Main Canal. Electrical works have recently commenced getting high voltage power to the site and the pumps. Our winter automation program will be rolled out across the region over the coming months, including the remainder of our automated outlet and regulator works. There will also be 5.6kms of channel refurbishment works on GBC, BC4 and in Warburn.

🎂 30 years of GMW In December 2009, GMW’s FutureFlow Alliance project was completed. The alliance saw GMW partner with various infrastructure businesses to undertake significant irrigation modernisation works in the Goulburn Murray Irrigation District. The $290 million project involved the installation of 1680 flume gates, 3740 meters and 27km of pipeline, as well as the removal of hundreds of unused assets. The project was awarded the 2009 Infrastructure Project Innovation Award by the Australian Water Association. The following year it would win the Award for Project Innovation from the International Water Association. Last week, Anthony (Tony) Oakes, our Consultant of Special Projects, attended the ICID conference in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. He presented a paper on our successful flow measurement project, developed in collaboration with our local partner that was installed on the Tajikistan/Uzbekistan border. Additionally, Tony co-presented a paper with Paul Byrnes, highlighting 5 Australian case studies where accurate flow measurement enhanced management and guided modernisation investments. While in Central Asia, Tony also participated in key meetings at the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan. It's fantastic to see our technology gaining increased attention throughout Central Asia as a viable solution in addressing water management challenges in the region. More to come. In recognition of National Water Safety Month in the US, we're sharing photos from an installation we completed last week in Nebraska. The this site aims to maintain a consistent flow in the main canal, while automatically diverting and measuring flow through the spillway during times of excess water. The site is designed to deliver a desired downstream flow while activating the two lateral gates in case of surging volumes during heavy rain events. This enhances canal operator safety and visibility by eliminating the need for physical intervention during severe weather. Protecting both operators and downstream community. This marks the first automated canal site for North Port Irrigation District.
