In celebration of NAIDOC Week 2024 we reflect on the rich experiences our teams had across the country last week. In various offices, our people participated in art immersion sessions providing unique insights into First Nations art, highlighting stories of connection to Country, culture, and kinship. Additionally, they also immersed themselves in basket weaving workshops, gaining an appreciation for the cultural significance and heritage of this craft. We extend our gratitude to the talented First Nations artists and creatives from Dalmarri, Wudtjameen, and Jugan Dandii for sharing these traditions with us. #NAIDOCWeek #Reconciliation #QBEInsurance

QBE is harnessing geospatial data, AI, and aerial imagery to support the claims experience for commercial customers impacted by severe weather events. This technology was put to the test in an Australian pilot during Cyclone Jasper in December 2023. “Having access to geospatial data allowed us to respond more effectively. We were able to assess the impacts immediately, rather than waiting for hydrologist reports,” said Chad Vigar, Head of Property Claims, QBE Australia Pacific. “Our teams were also able to assess in real-time what resources and trades would be needed to respond effectively and carry out repairs.” Learn more about the technology behind the pilot: https://lnkd.in/eYUpYBi7 Arron Mann (GAICD), James Orchard, Lynn Thompson, Alex Taylor, Mattias Hallersbo Image credit: ICEYE #QBEVentures #GeospatialTechnology #AI #Insurtech #Claims
