🏆 Officeworks was recently named as one of Australia’s sustainability leaders in the ‘Retail, Hospitality, Tourism & Entertainment’ category as part The Australian Financial Review's Sustainability Leaders 2024 list. We were recognised for our People & Planet Positive (PPP) product range, which is one of our fastest-growing merchandise categories. Every one of the 2200 products in the PPP range has sustainability attributes including being made from recycled content, wooden materials, certified cotton, fast-growing plants, or are refillable, recyclable or reusable. Our progress in this space wouldn’t be possible without the support of our team members, customers and partners. Its only with your support that we can continue our mission to make a positive difference to people and the planet, so thank you! #Officeworks 💚🌏

Last week, team members in support office roles put their 'pens down' to head into stores and connect with other team members, learn something new and have a bit of fun. Our General Manager Store Operations & CSC, Brett Kelly, said: “Pens Down is always a great opportunity for our team to better understand how stores execute processes, tasks and initiatives, and challenge our thinking about how our support roles can help make bigger things happen for our stores.” To our store teams - thanks so much for having us, it's always a great reminder of the incredible work you all do, day in, day out. #Officeworks 💙

At Officeworks, NAIDOC week provided us with another opportunity to learn more about and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Support Office team members were treated to a special performance from Djirri Djirri, the only Wurundjeri female dance group, as well as art workshops with Jenna Oldaker, and a weaving workshop with Samantha Jetta. ❤️ Our Upper Mt Gravatt store (Qld) had a visit from Emily Betts, a proud Gamilaraay woman, who spoke about totems and showed her leather craft incorporating traditional art, which the team tried their hand at. 💛 Our North Ryde store (NSW) hosted an art showcase with Indigenous artist Jordan Ardler and our and Werribee store (Vic) hosted an art workshop with Indigenous artist Tara-Rose Butterworth-Gonebale. 🖤 Our Campbelltown store (NSW) received a ‘Just Too Deadly’ award from Dharawal Men’s Aboriginal Corporation in appreciation of the team's support over the years. Thank you to all the Indigenous peoples across the country for sharing your culture with our team throughout the week to help us Keep the Fire Burning, Blak, Loud and Proud. #Officeworks #NAIDOC2024

If you’ve visited our Pitt Street store in Sydney recently, you may have come across our Geeks2U In-Store Tech Service Centre 💻📱🔌 It's part of an exciting pilot initiative to better support customers solve their tech problems, including PC and mobile repairs - either on the spot in store or by booking a technician to visit their home or workplace. Given its positive response, the initiative is set to roll-out nationally in select stores from October, so keep your eyes peeled for a location near you! Geeks2U General Manager David Pisker said: “As a leading retailer of technology, and with so many new and emerging technology categories popping up, we are in the perfect position to support our customers with all their tech issues.” #Officeworks 💙 #Geeks2U ❤️

🎇 Make a difference fundraising tally 🎇   With our annual Make a Difference appeal over for another year, we wanted to thank our customers for their donations while shopping in store or online during the month of June.   Together with a number of team fundraising events across our business, we were able to raise more than $830,000 for 16 different organisations around the country that promote inclusion and provide support to enable children to learn, create and connect for a sustainable future.   Our General Manager People, Alexandra Staley, said: “I love how Officeworks team members embrace being part of the local communities where they live and work, especially when they’re supporting causes so close to their heart. Thank you to our customers who donated so thoughtfully and generously at a time when cost of living pressures are very real.”   Watch this space for stories of how the 16 organisations utilise the funds raised to make a positive difference. #Officeworks 💙

This story really goes to the heart of our passion to ensure every child in Australia has the opportunity to have an education, no matter what their circumstances are ❤️ Marium Khan grew up in a low-income, single parent family in western Sydney and was in Year 1 in primary school when she first accessed The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program. Fast forward more than 10 years and Marium is in her third year studying a Bachelor of Education 👩🏫 We couldn’t be prouder of our decade-long partnership with The Smith Family and the real impact we’re having in students’ lives, helping to close the literacy, numeracy and social connection divide for so many young people in Australia 🌟 Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/gNs_BdcQ #Officeworks 💙

Last month, eight of our team members came together with others across the group to celebrate completing the most recent round of study as part of the Wesfarmers Indigenous Leadership Program. One of the many inspiring participants, Erica Barrett, from our Rockhampton store, has gone from strength to strength since being involved in the program. Having worked at Officeworks for nearly seven years, Erica has progressed from keyholder to coordinator this year. “The program has brought me a lot closer to culture but also helped me develop my knowledge and leadership skills. The connections, friendships and relationships I have made within Officeworks, but also other companies within Wesfarmers, has been amazing. I’m so grateful.” Pictured are our amazing participants Mary-Louise, Shayla, Macarla, Melissa, Erica, Shelby, Lachlan and Steve, with Officeworks Managing Director Sarah Hunter, GM People Alexandra Staley, Head of People Capability & Experience Kristy Elliott and Indigenous Engagement Advisor Bridget Daly. #Officeworks 🖤💛❤️
