    We were so pleased to have Matty Mills, presenter and Proud Indigenous & LGBTIQA+ Advocate visit us in Myer Support Office as part of NAIDOC Week. This year's theme 'Keep The Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud', celebrates Indigenous identities, and the community's spirit, strength and resilience. It invites us to listen, learn, engage and amplify the voices of First Nations people.     We're honoured to have been recognised at this year's International Loyalty Awards!   MYER one is an integral part of the Company’s performance to date - driving more than 76% of our sales - and we are delighted that the Program has been recognised on a global scale being named: Best Long-Term Loyalty Program globally, for the Best Use of Customer Data/Analytics, and as International Loyalty Program of the Year (for the APAC region).   We were truly humbled to be included amongst some of the best loyalty programs in the world and congratulate all winners and finalists.   We also congratulate Rob Pope, Myer’s GM Customer, who was recognised at the event as one of the top 30 global leaders in loyalty under 40.   This is in addition to recent wins including Power Retail’s ‘Best Email Marketing’ Award and at the recent APAC Loyalty Award’s for ‘Best Use of AI in Loyalty’.

    Myer has announced its Half Year 2024 results with Myer CEO and Managing Director, John King, saying: “The Customer First Plan continues to deliver for Myer despite the macro economic conditions. We were able to achieve a strong comparable sales outcome, cycling our best ever 1st half sales on record in FY2023 and saw improvements in our market share across both stores and online.”   1H24 RESULTS (post-AASB 16) for the 26 weeks to 27 January 2024, compared to 1H23 (26 weeks to 28 January 2023):    - Group comparable sales growth of 0.1% achieved despite challenging macro trading conditions compared to the prior corresponding period (pcp) when a record sales performance was achieved. - Group online sales were $390.1 million or 21.3% of total sales, an increase of 2.0% vs pcp. - Operating gross profit (OGP) reduced 2.7% to $665.1 million; margin rate increased by 11 basis points (bps) to 36.4%. Excluding a reclassification adjustment of delivery income*, underlying margin rate declined 20bps reflecting mix changes and promotional cadence. - Cost of Doing Business* (CODB) was $449.4 million, an increase of $6.9 million, but was broadly flat if the delivery income reclassification was excluded, reflecting the focus on mitigating cost increases, including the favourable impact on CODB of the store closures. - Net Profit after tax* (NPAT) of $52.0 million. - Statutory NPAT of $50.5 million includes Implementation Costs and Individually Significant Items of $1.5 million from taxation adjustments related to prior periods, and certain Software as a Service (SaaS) implementation costs that cannot be capitalised. - Net cashflow of $93.2 million was $10.7 million favourable to pcp, with net cash at period end of $211.7 million. Inventory was well controlled, down $10.5 million on pcp.    They Myer Board also announced today the appointment of independent Non-Executive Director, Olivia Wirth, as Executive Chair to drive the company’s next phase of growth.    The Board also appointed current independent Non-Executive Director, Dr Gary Weiss AM, as Deputy Chair and Lead Independent Director, a new role created to enhance governance.    Myer’s Executive General Manager Stores, Tony Sutton, has also been promoted to the new executive position of Chief Operating Officer, reporting to Ms Wirth. With more than 30 years at Myer, Mr Sutton is an experienced retail executive, including more than more than a decade on the Executive Management Group (EMG).     5,000 sandwiches to feed 5,000 hungry tummies! 🌟🥪 This past weekend Myer and Eat Up came together and with the help of some incredible volunteers we made 5,000 sandwiches in 38 minutes!     Myer has recently extended our partnerships with both Australia Post and Linfox ensuring we are delivering a more efficient and effective supply chain – a key part of Myer’s Customer First Plan. 📦 With Australia Post, we announced a new three-year strategic partnership to further enhance Myer’s online customer experience. Under the agreement, Australia Post will be the primary eCommerce fulfilment partner for Myer, covering the majority of Myer’s online orders. The partnership also includes Australia Post’s Metro Service which offers next-day delivery for Myer eCommerce customers in metropolitan Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. In the past 12 months Australia Post delivered more than five million parcels for Myer. We also announced an extension of our 34-year partnership with Linfox for an additional seven years. Since Linfox became Myer’s carrier of choice in 1989, they have provided transport services from Myer’s distribution centre (DC) to all Myer stores across every major city in Australia (excluding Northern Territory and Tasmania). As part of the extended partnership, Linfox will invest in new fleet for the Myer partnership over the next 12 months, with Myer continuing to invest in new DC facilities and equipment, which includes their National Distribution Centre, which has commenced operational testing. Myer’s Executive General Manager of Supply Chain, Tony Carr, said: “Whether it is stocking stores or fulfilling online orders, Myer is committed to getting our product to customers in the quickest and most efficient way and Australia Post and Linfox are instrumental in ensuring we deliver against this.”
