Dr. Morphett is recognized globally as an expert in pyrolysis technology. Under his leadership, our team has dedicated countless hours to designing, building, testing, and programming our patented CharMakers. For over 15 years, these efforts have not only propelled us to the forefront of biochar technology but also underscored our commitment to environmental sustainability. In mid June Global Victoria showcased Victorian companies on the international stage as part of the CleanEnviro Summit Singapore. This was fantastic opportunity to promote opportunities as part of the Green Economy Agreement and the Go Green Co-Innovation Program Victoria. This morning, chris smithies completed his 9th annual Earth Systems Half Marathon Charity Run. Each year Chris raises money for Vientiane Rescue, a fantastic volunteer emergency services group dedicated to saving lives on the streets of Vientiane. He finished the half marathon in just over 2 hours and 22 minutes, which Chris considers a slow time compared to his best run a few years back. Chris joked that, "Some people tell me it's because I'm starting to get a bit old but I refuse to listen to that sort of negative thinking." This year some of the funds raised will go towards supporting upgrades to a school in a remote village in Lao PDR and will go a long way to improving the quality of education for the many children there.
