Chief Customer Officer for Consumer Banking, Richard Fennell said the Bank was committed to improved support for financially vulnerable customers, staff, suppliers, and our wider community. “By the end of 2024, we will have included reference to ‘Unacceptable Account Conduct’ in our terms and conditions which allows the Bank to suspend, cancel or deny individuals access to products or services if the Bank identifies them as engaging in financial abuse,” Mr Fennell committed. “We acknowledge that we all have a part to play in assisting those vulnerable members of our community and we’re committed to ensuring everyone feels safe and empowered when banking with us.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gpzJ2prm

National Reconciliation Week is a time to reflect and learn about our reconciliation journey, shared histories, cultures, and achievements and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving meaningful reconciliation in Australia. This year’s theme 'Now More Than Ever' emphasises the ongoing fight for justice and equality for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It's a call to action that acknowledges there's been progress, but significant work remains. To reflect our on our own journey, our Organisation Capability teams joined members of our Employee Network Groups, our RAP Working Group and MOB@BEN members today for a Walk on Country experience held in multiple locations. Pictured in Adelaide, located on the traditional Country of the Kaurna people we were joined by Isaac Hannam, a proud Kaurna and Ngarrindjeri man and Haydyn Bromley from Bookabee, a descendant of the Adnyamathanha, Yarluyandi and Narungga peoples. #BendigoBank #BetterBigBank #NRW2024
