Chairs Upstairs Bar and Restaurant

When the owners of the original Corner Tavern left to build a new Hapeville location across from the East Point MARTA station, regulars were worried. However, the beer selection and the food at Chairs in the old tavern building is still solid as is the second floor patio in the back. Make sure to grab a plate of wings from the outdoor smoker.

Chef Santiago Gomez opened his vibey Mexican supper club Palo Santo in 2022. It’s where Mexican, Japanese, and Southern flavors and dishes merge together on the menu. And this includes at the rooftop lounge above the restaurant, which offers both open-air and covered seating and great views of the emerging skyline along Atlanta’s burgeoning westside. Expect a pared-down menu of Japanese-Mexican snacks and shared plates, like nori tacos, tostadas, crudos, and oysters. The rooftop lounge can become a bit of a scene the later it gets in the evening, so come early to enjoy quiet conversation over drinks.

Located across from Barcelona Wine Bar at the Ironworks complex on Howell Mill Road, O-Ku features a rooftop patio offering al fresco sushi and cocktails.
