    Under the general supervision of the Head of the Investigation Division, the direct supervision of the Investigation Team Leader, together with the Joint Investigation Team (Senior Trial Attorney) in several complex and large investigations of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide:

    Collected, screened and handled information and evidence in accordance with standard operating procedures.

    Lead sensitive and complex interviews which required specialist skills and considerable experience such as the interview of particularly vulnerable witnesses, high level suspects and important overview witnesses.

    Undertook the review and analysis of gathered materials and actively contributed to evidence review and the disclosure process;

    Managed contacts with external persons including victims, witnesses and intermediaries;

    Planned, participated and lead field missions;

    Took responsibility for the development of leads and avenues of investigation.

    Gave, pursuant to the instructions of the Team Leader, operational lead to other members of the Investigation team;

    Advised the Investigation Team Leader on investigation procedures and techniques to be used;

    Participated in the preparation and timely review of investigation plans;

    Served as Team focal point in one or more core functions such as Interviewing Vulnerable Victims and Witnesses (Sexual Violence and Children), and improving the management of intermediaries.

    Provided expert advice on how to use existing international and other networks to further investigations of the Office of the Prosecutor;

    Appeared before the Chambers, when required;

    Performed other duties as required.

  • High Level Judicial Symposium on International and Transnational Crime

    Wayamo Foundation international symposium on judicial integrity - a foundation for combatting international and transnational crime, with a focus on human trafficking, featuring US Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, former UN Human Rights Commissioner and ICC Justice Navi Pillay, ICC Justice Bertram Schmitt and Registrar Femi Elyas. I represented UNODC's GLO.ACT project and addressed the question of the critical role of the judiciary in addressing human trafficking.

  • SECOND NAIROBI WORKSHOP ON INVESTIGATING AND PROSECUTING CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY
