As turbines grow in size, the demand for bearings that can withstand higher loads and harsher environmental conditions increases. Advanced materials and innovative design techniques are crucial in developing bearings that offer greater durability and reliability. Another significant trend is the focus on predictive maintenance. With the integration of smart sensors and IoT technologies, it's now possible to monitor the health of bearings in real-time, allowing for proactive maintenance and reducing downtime. NKE is now in its second year of supporting the Junior Makers Space, established in 2023. This project allows children to explore renewable energy technologies, and significant progress has already been made. The introduction of the program to schools in Steyr and the support from companies have helped create a pool of 10 young trainers for Steyr. 👨🔬👩💻🔬 Additionally, a safe and inspiring workshop space has been established. Since April, two Junior Maker groups with a total of 19 children have successfully started and completed numerous creative projects, ranging from renewable energy technologies to upcycling ideas. Looking ahead, more workshops on renewable energy technologies and participation in the KinderUni OÖ are planned. 💡🎓 The results of the projects are shared via a dedicated website (Junior Maker Pioneers).
