EMAS 2.0: Our Environmental Report 2023 ✈️♻️   For the second time, Austrian Airlines was again successfully validated in accordance with the most demanding global environmental management standard, the European EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) regulation, and certified with the international ISO 14001 standard for environmental management systems. This shows our continuous commitment to the highest environmental standards. As part of the renewed validation, we are publishing our environmental report for the 2023 reporting year (German only). Award-winning „Restfett“! 😋 ✈️ Together with Virtual Identity, we were honored with the DPOK (Deutscher Preis für Onlinekommunikation | German Award for Online Communications) in the category of Transport, Traffic, and Logistics. Our winning social media campaign, "Restfett," creatively explained the benefits of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) made from used cooking oil. With the charm of this ambiguous, typically Austrian expression, the campaign significantly raised awareness about CO2-reduced flying with SAF. 📢 The DPOK awards the most innovative and creative digital projects, and we are honored to be recognised by a jury of over 45 experts. This award is a testament to our commitment to responsible and engaging communication. ❤️

Austrian Airlines takes off to Berlin with red-white-red euphoria! ❤️🤍❤️   The "12th man" is particularly important for today's group match between Austria and Poland: Numerous fans want to celebrate a red-white-red soccer festival in Berlin ⚽ to support our Austrian national team. In order to bring as many fans as possible to the match in the Olympic Stadium, the home carrier has even operated a Boeing 777 long-haul aircraft on the route to Berlin today. ✈️   Austrian Airlines is keeping its fingers crossed for the Austrian national team in today's group match! 🤞❤️

A Dreamliner never comes alone: Welcome to Vienna, OE-LPM! 😍 Yesterday we welcomed our second Dreamliner, the OE-LPM to the Austrian Airlines family! The Boeing 787-9 arrived straight from Teruel, where it received the Austrian livery and is now shining in red-white-red colors. ✨ To celebrate this, we greeted our newest fleet member with a water salute, many cheers and excited faces! The OE-LPM will start its scheduled long-haul service on 28 June when it will take off to Chicago! ✈ Until then, it will take our guests to destinations in Europe, such as Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Berlin. #Austrianairlines #Austrian #Dreamliner

Our Dreamliner takes off for New York! 🗽😍 Today marks a milestone in our Austrian Airlines history! After extensive training and preparations across departments, our newest fleet member OE-LPL, Boeing 787-9, finally started its scheduled long-haul service with its inaugural flight to JFK today. ✈️ And we could not be more excited! To celebrate this special occasion, our board members welcomed our guests to THE NEW SERVUS IN THE AIR. 🥳 Our Dreamliners are not only more environmentally efficient but promise an enhanced travel experience thanks to the modern, spacious and comfortable cabin concept. Our guests can look forward to WiFi on board, bigger windows as well as an innovative lighting system that reduces jetlag by adjusting to the biorhythm. A big thank you to all our dedicated colleagues whose hard work and expertise made the introduction of our first Dreamliner possible.
