AstroLab Studios is an independently owned 5,500 Square Foot Soundproof Soundstage Film and Photo studio.
Our top priority and focus is to provide you with Boutique Service, meaning we adapt to you and your project’s specific needs. We go above and beyond to help and stand by our service as being what sets us apart.
We take pride in our Studio Space and In-House Equipment and go out of our way to make sure they are functional but also comfortable, clean and well-maintained, and welcoming and inviting for you.
You’ll find us just outside the downtown core in Toronto, Ontario, in the vibrant east-end neighbourhood of Leslieville.
what makes us different?
You'll never have to contend with outside noise. Our Studios are built on a real soundstage, and have been professionally acoustically treated, for optimal sound quality.
You don't need to send PAs running around the city when you shoot at AstroLab. Most of your lighting and grip needs should be well covered by our in-house, competitively priced gear.
You will have direct contact to our Founder and Studio Manager throughout the booking process, right until you wrap out. Our team is quick to respond with helpful service, and acts like an extension of your team. You will feel right at home while you're with us.
If you're located in the city centre, you can't beat our location at Eastern Ave. and Carlaw, a very short drive or TTC ride from the core. We also have ample on-site parking for all your client and production vehicles.
This means you own the space, and you and your team will always be the only production in the building when you’re with us.
The space includes a 3,800 square foot Soundproof and completely unobstructed Stage with a large White Cyc Cove, and an additional 1,650 square feet of Support Spaces, including a large, bright Hair and Makeup Room with Hair Sink, a Production Office, Changing Rooms, a comfy Green Room and more.
This is your home while you’re with us. Take your shoes off and get comfy!
Keep it simple with our in-house Grip & Lighting rentals: take it all for a low flat-rate buyout, or build your own list. We can also source most gear, if you need something we don’t have!
AstroLab is located on the Revival Film Studios Toronto Lot, in Leslieville at 629 Eastern Ave., just 10 minutes from the middle of downtown Toronto.
