White Paper and Roadmap for Quantum Gravity Phenomenology in the Multi-Messenger Era
Abstract: The unification of quantum mechanics and general relativity has long been elusive. Only recently have empirical predictions of various possible theories of quantum gravity been put to test. The dawn of multi-messenger high-energy astrophysics has been tremendously beneficial, as it allows us to study particles with much higher energies and travelling much longer distances than possible in terrestr… ▽ More

The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna mission in Greece White Paper
Abstract: The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) mission, scheduled for launch in the mid-2030s, is a gravitational wave observatory in space designed to detect sources emitting in the millihertz band. LISA is an ESA flagship mission, currently entering the Phase B development phase. It is expected to help us improve our understanding about our Universe by measuring gravitational wave sources of diff… ▽ More

Cosmology with the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna
Abstract: The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) has two scientific objectives of cosmological focus: to probe the expansion rate of the universe, and to understand stochastic gravitational-wave backgrounds and their implications for early universe and particle physics, from the MeV to the Planck scale. However, the range of potential cosmological applications of gravitational wave observations exten… ▽ More

Quantum gravity phenomenology at the dawn of the multi-messenger era -- A review
Abstract: The exploration of the universe has recently entered a new era thanks to the multi-messenger paradigm, characterized by a continuous increase in the quantity and quality of experimental data that is obtained by the detection of the various cosmic messengers (photons, neutrinos, cosmic rays and gravitational waves) from numerous origins. They give us information about their sources in the universe… ▽ More

Can an Axion be the Dark Energy particle ?
Abstract: Following a phenomenological analysis done by the late Martin Perl for the detection of the dark energy, we show that an axion of energy $1.5\times 10^{-3}~eV/c^2$ can be a viable candidate for the dark energy particle. In particular, we obtain the characteristic length and frequency of the axion as a quantum particle. Then, employing a relation that connects the energy density with the frequency… ▽ More

Hawking radiation, chirality, and the principle of effective theory of gravity
Abstract: In this paper we combine the chirality of field theories in near horizon regions with the principle of effective theory of gravity to define a new energy-momentum tensor for the theory. This new energy-momentum tensor has the correct radiation flux to account for Hawking radiation for space-times with horizons. This method is connected to the chiral anomaly cancellation method, but it works for sp… ▽ More

Effect of the Generalized Uncertainty Principle on Post-Inflation Preheating
Abstract: We examine effects of the Generalized Uncertainty Principle, predicted by various theories of quantum gravity to replace the Heisenberg's uncertainty principle near the Planck scale, on post inflation preheating in cosmology, and show that it can predict either an increase or a decrease in parametric resonance and a corresponding change in particle production. Possible implications are considered.

Gravitational anomalies: a recipe for Hawking radiation
Abstract: We explore the method of Robinson and Wilczek for deriving the Hawking temperature of a black hole.
