The rotation state of small asteroids is affected by the Yarkovsky-O'Keefe-Radzievskii-Paddack (YORP) effect, which is a net torque caused by solar radiation directly reflected and thermally reemitted from the surface. Due to this effect, the rotation period slowly changes, which can be most easily measured in light curves because the shift in the rotation phase accumulates over time quadratically. We collected archived light curves and carried out new photometric observations for asteroids (10115) 1992 SK, (1620) Geographos, and (1685) Toro. We applied the method of light curve inversion to fit observations with a convex shape model. The YORP effect was modeled as a linear change of the rotation frequency $\upsilon \equiv \mathrm{d}ω/ \mathrm{d}t$ and optimized together with other spin and shape parameters. We detected the acceleration $\upsilon = (8.3 \pm 0.6) \times 10^{-8}\,\mathrm{rad}\,\mathrm{d}^{-2}$ of the rotation for asteroid (10115) 1992 SK. This observed value agrees well with the theoretical value of YORP-induced spin-up computed for our shape and spin model. For (1685) Toro, we obtained $\upsilon = (3.3 \pm 0.3) \times 10^{-9}\,\mathrm{rad}\,\mathrm{d}^{-2}$, which confirms an earlier tentative YORP detection. For (1620) Geographos, we confirmed the previously detected YORP acceleration and derived an updated value of $\upsilon$ with a smaller uncertainty. We also included the effect of solar precession into our inversion algorithm, and we show that there are hints of this effect in Geographos' data. The detected change of the spin rate of (10115) 1992 SK has increased the total number of asteroids with YORP detection to ten. In all ten cases, the $\mathrm{d}ω/ \mathrm{d}t$ value is positive, so the rotation of these asteroids is accelerated. It is unlikely to be just a statistical fluke, but it is probably a real feature that needs to be explained.

The complete data set includes archival data from 1982-2006, and 1195.2 hours of new observations from 2007- 2016. From this data set, we extract 15 frequencies representing g-mode pulsation modes, adding 4 modes to the 11 modes known previously. We present evidence that these 15 modes are ell = 1 modes, 13 of which belong to a consecutive sequence in radial overtone k. We perform a detailed asteroseismic analysis using models that include parameterized, complex carbon and oxygen core composition profiles to fit the periods. Recent spectroscopic analyses place GD358 near the red edge of the DBV instability strip, at 24,000 plus or minus 500 K and a log g of 7.8 plus or minus 0.08 dex. The surface gravity translates to a mass range of 0.455 to 0.540 solar masses. Our best fit model has a temperature of 23,650 K and a mass of 0.5706 solar masses. That is slightly more massive than suggested by most the recent spectroscopy. We find a pure helium layer mass of 10^-5.50, consistent with the result of previous studies and the outward diffusion of helium over time.

For the first time, we found that it exhibits the B[e] phenomenon and fits the definition of an FS CMa type object. The optical spectrum shows the presence of a B-type star with the following properties: T_ eff = 11000+/-500 K, log L/L_sun = 3.7+/-0.3, a mass of 7+/-1 M_sun, and a distance D = 2.4+/-0.3 kpc from the Sun. We detected regular radial velocity variations of both absorption and emission lines with the following orbital parameters: P_orb = 131.27+/-0.09 days, semi-amplitude K_1 = 51.7+/-3.0 km/s, systemic radial velocity gamma = -31.8+/-2.6 km/s, and a mass function of f(m) = 1.9+/-0.3 M_sun. AS 386 exhibits irregular variations of the optical brightness (V=10.92+/-0.05 mag), while the near-IR brightness varies up to ~0.3 mag following the spectroscopic period. We explain this behavior by a variable illumination of the dusty disk inner rim by the B-type component. Doppler tomography based on the orbital variations of emission-line profiles shows that the material is distributed near the B-type component and in a circumbinary disk. We conclude that the system has undergone a strong mass transfer that created the circumstellar material and increased the B-type component mass. The absence of any traces of a secondary component, whose mass should be >= 7 M_sun, suggests that it is most likely a black hole.

The best agreement with the observations has been achieved in our three-spot model including a cool polar spot with a temperature of about 3500K as well as large and small warm spots with a temperature of about 4500K. The stable polar spot is responsible for the long-period brightness variations. Its presence is confirmed by an analysis of the TiO 7054$~Å$ molecular band. The small-amplitude 34-day variability is attributable to the warm spots located on the side of the secondary component, which determine the relatively stable active longitude.

The types of instability in the interacting binary stars are reviewed. The project "Inter-Longitude Astronomy" is a series of smaller projects on concrete stars or groups of stars. It has no special funds, and is supported from resources and grants of participating organizations, when informal working groups are created. Totally we studied 1900+ variable stars of different types. The characteristic timescale is from seconds to decades and (extrapolating) even more. The monitoring of the first star of our sample AM Her was initiated by Prof. V.P. Tsesevich (1907-1983). Since more than 358 ADS papers were published. Some highlights of our photometric and photo-polarimetric monitoring and mathematical modelling of interacting binary stars of different types are presented: classical, asynchronous, intermediate polars and magnetic dwarf novae (DO Dra) with 25 timescales corresponding to different physical mechanisms and their combinations (part "Polar"); negative and positive superhumpers in nova-like and many dwarf novae stars ("Superhumper"); eclipsing "non-magnetic" cataclysmic variables; symbiotic systems ("Symbiosis"); super-soft sources (SSS, QR And); spotted (and not spotted) eclipsing variables with (and without) evidence for a current mass transfer ("Eclipser") with a special emphasis on systems with a direct impact of the stream into the gainer star's atmosphere, or V361 Lyr-type stars. Other parts of the ILA project are "Stellar Bell" (interesting pulsating variables of different types and periods - M, SR, RV Tau, RR Lyr, Delta Sct) and "Novice"(="New Variable") discoveries and classification with a subsequent monitoring for searching and studying possible multiple components of variability. Special mathematical methods have been developed to create a set of complementary software for statistically optimal modelling of variable stars of different types.

Absorption line positions of the secondary vary with a semi-amplitude of $\sim$20 km/s and a period of 27.5 days. The system's mass function is 2.3$\times10^{-2}$ M$_\odot$, and its orbital plane is $13^{\circ}-15^{\circ}$ tilted from the plane of the sky. The primary's $v \sin i \sim$110 km/s combined with this tilt implies that it rotates at a nearly breakup velocity. We detected strong variations of the Balmer and He I emission-line profiles on timescales from days to years. This points to a variable stellar wind of the primary in addition to the presence of a circum-primary gaseous disk. The strength of the absorption-line spectrum along with the optical and near-IR continuum suggest that the primary contributes $\sim$60% of the $V$--band flux, the disk contributes $\sim$30%, and the secondary $\sim$10%. The system parameters, along with the interstellar extinction, suggest a distance of $\sim$1 kpc, that the secondary does not fill its Roche lobe, and that the companions' mass ratio is $q \sim$0.5. Overall, the observed spectral variability and the presence of a strong IR-excess are in agreement with a model of a close binary system that has undergone a non-conservative mass-transfer.

Besides, there are short-term (time scale of 0.03-0.04 days) small-amplitude brightness variations out of eclipse. This behavior suggests cataclysmic nature of the star, confirmed with a spectrum taken on June 5, 2014. The spectrum shows numerous emissions of the hydrogen Balmer series, HeI, HeII.

This suggests the presence of a high-temperature region in the system that could originate at or near a companion object. We undertook a spectroscopic monitoring of FF Cam since the beginning of 2012 and found an extremely variable H-alpha line profile as well as periodically variable radial velocities of numerous absorption lines. The main conclusion from our study is that FF Cam is a binary system with an orbital period of 7.785 days, a B-type primary and a K-type secondary component. We discuss the spectral features, their variations, and the nature of FF Cam.

FS CMa type stars are a group of Galactic objects with the B[e] phenomenon. They exhibit strong emission-line spectra and infrared excesses, which are most likely due to recently formed circumstellar dust. The group content and identification criteria were described in the first two papers of the series. In this paper we report our spectroscopic and photometric observations of the optical counterpart of IRAS 00470+6429 obtained in 2003--2008. The optical spectrum is dominated by emission lines, most of which have P Cyg type profiles. We detected significant brightness variations, which may include a regular component, and variable spectral line profiles in both shape and position. The presence of a weak Li {\sc I} 6708 Åline in the spectrum suggests that the object is most likely a binary system with a B2--B3 spectral type primary companion of a luminosity $\log$ L/L$\odot$ = 3.9$\pm$0.3 and a late-type secondary companion. We estimate a distance toward the object to be 2.0$\pm$0.3 kpc from the Sun.

Our optical photometry confirms the results of much more frequent visual monitoring of $δ$ Sco. In 2005, we detected a significant decrease in the object's brightness, both in optical and near-infrared brightness, which is associated with a continuous rise in the hydrogen line strenghts. We discuss possible causes for this phenomenon, which is difficult to explain in view of current models of Be star disks. The 2001 spectral energy distribution and polarization are succesfully modeled with a three-dimensional non-LTE Monte Carlo code which produces a self-consistent determination of the hydrogen level populations, electron temperature, and gas density for hot star disks. Our disk model is hydrostatically supported in the vertical direction and radially controlled by viscosity. Such a disk model has, essentially, only two free parameters, viz., the equatorial mass loss rate and the disk outer radius. We find that the primary companion is surrounded by a small (7 $R_\star$), geometrically-thin disk, which is highly non-isothermal and fully ionized. Our model requires an average equatorial mass loss rate of $1.5\times 10^{-9} M_{\sun}$ yr$^{-1}$.
