He started his writing career as a newspaper reporter, covering business, crime, and other topics. Kevin has written about technology and computing for more than 15 years, having previously worked at tech and productivity blog Lifehacker, product recommendation site Wirecutter, repair advocate and vendor iFixit, and home energy and climate site Carbon Switch. He graduated from the University at Buffalo, and lives in Washington, D.C., where he bikes, bakes, and makes passable espresso. Kevin is occasionally on Mastodon.
