Absolutely wonderful experience! The food was wonderfully and they taken good steps two keep social distance 😱🥰 can’t complain at all about them. Made us feel safe and friendly welcoming. Had to add extra person two are booking and they did it quick and had 0 issues. Unlike over places where when u get there they just didn’t listen. So glad to be able to go have meal out after this lock down. Thank you all the staff for lovely experience and great app and service 💗💗

I visited Toby Carvery on Friday 28th June to take advantage of the offer sent to me by Toby. I had booked a table for 19:30 and on arrival checked in. I was early so I was quite happy to wait to be seated, so decided to get a drink from the bar. There the problem started. Only one person serving in a very crowded bar. I was eventually served and was told by my wife that our table was ready.
I went and collected our dinners and enjoyed the meal. It was by now about 20:00 we then sat there for about 30 minutes before any waiting staff came to see if we would like any dessert. That was ordered and delivered in a timely manner but then a further delay before we could pay and leave. 20:53.
I planned evening somewhat spoiled.
The final disappointment was when my wife pointed out to the waitress that there was stale food behind the table she was told it was not her problem and she will inform the man who dose the cleaning. As I work in the food industry I was surprised that she didn’t clean up the food and then inform the manager.

Rant over, food was good, pity about the service. Friday evening is always busy and with the offer on was bound to be even worse perhaps a few extra staff on such days could be the answer.

I have to say I’ve had no problems at all with either booking or paying on the app. But I have had trouble with the “rewards”. The first one I tried was for a desert and the waitress said it wouldn’t scan, the next one a few weeks later was for a dinner, was told to get it scanned at the bar, this was easier said than done. The staff don’t seem to know how to process these or are reluctant to. Am I right in thinking customers are able to get a “stamp” after a visit too? If this is the case the staff are reluctant to give those too. Myself and my family are regulars at Toby and all love it, but this reward business was a bit embarrassing
