Generally pass-level app but with IMPORTANT features missing
The following feedbacks are made based on the user experience on iPhone11, iOS 16 for a UCL student.
Pros:
The application generally runs well at least it won’t crash often for me. It provides a platform for students to know each other and make new friends.
Cons:
1. Keywords search missing After months, within the app, you still cannot search for a specific group to join, or locate a previous chat by searching for its name.For joining groups, you can only add some default filters and scroll down to check if there is the group you want to join. For locating previous chat, the only interaction way is to scroll up and down to find a previous chat.
2. Direct message feature missing When you have joined a group, you cannot direct message others without connecting with them.
3. Courses database extremely not complete After months, the courses you can select when you create your profiles are still very very few. I have no idea why the contributors did such a terrible job here. There are so few STEM subjects you could select from the list they provide. I am pretty sure it won’t be that hard to make a crawler programme to get the full list of undergrad and postgrad courses from UCL official website.
Thank you for the development team who makes this app but still please put in some work if you want to provide a better experience for users. 🙏

Cannot upload a profile picture
After choosing to not use a profile picture when I initially signed up I cannot change it afterwards. The button in the settings does nothing and will not let me change it. If you sign up to this make sure you fill in all your details first time round as you won't be able to change your pfp later.
