The Office of Academic Planning and Budget facilitates strategic campus decision making through its support for mission-aligned campus planning activities and its work as an advisory body to the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost and the Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration/Chief Financial Officer.
A major objective is to develop a robust, integrated, institutional planning infrastructure and associated culture. Key projects currently underway include development of campus strategic plan, a school-based academic planning process and a related academic budgeting process.
The office also supports the campus’s assessment activities via the Academic Planning and Assessment Support Center and the campus’s institutional accreditation activities, including guidance on substantive change.
Partners critical to all these efforts include the Academic Senate, the Center of Institutional Effectiveness, the office of Institutional Research and Decision Support, Division of Finance and Administration and the schools and divisions.
