Small with a lot of functionality
This is perfect for those bad weather days. Not only does it have the weather radio built in but it also has am &fm. You can charge it several ways - hand crank, solar panels, AAA batteries. It has a flashlight and strobe light. You can also charge your phone with the usb port. Easy to use and small size make it great for part of your bad weather day supplies. I would recommend.

Awesome, perfect size. Even has a belt hook & strap so you can wear it. I’m impressed with all of the ways to power it, especially 3 Aaa batteries instead of C or D batteries. Hand crank, charger cord included, solar power it. Has a good audio, my local weather comes in, no static.

Does everything that it says it will. The flip-up solar panel that turns into area lighting is great. It's a single unit that takes care of many problems in a power outage: Radio for information, multiple charging methods, power pack to charge devices, 2 different lights. Worth ever penny.

The power bank feature seems to work pretty well - if I read the instructions right you have to charge the battery in the unit and then charge another device - I don't believe you can charge a phone etc while turning the crank. I tested charging my cell phone it added 5% charge to my Samsung cell phone pretty quickly. The instructions give sample times for hand crank recharging the unit - for recharging other devices I think an avg 3 min of cranking to replenish the units battery bank for 20 mins of unit use or charging another device would give you an an idea of how much effort would be needed to fully off load and transfer a charge to another device. The solar panel charges the internal power bank but there isn't a real indicator to say how much charge is taking place other than a single indicator light, that is either on or off. First charge took approx. 4 hours and that matched what the instructions for the unit indicated so that was on the mark. The radio feature even with antenna extended doesn't seem to pick up stations very well - I have an older radio that picks up lots of stations but this one only seems to find one station and the weather radio feature none so far. The lights are well placed and bright. The unit is light weight and features seem well placed for use. The attached wrist strap is of good quality, but, the single strand of material attaching the strap to the unit won't wear will and could be a problem - you might want to add a stronger connection from the unit to the strap if that is an important feature for your use. The charging features and options I would give this one a 5 star, for the radio feature and weak connecting strap 1 star. Cost vs utility I think for the functions the pricing is fair and I would probably buy a second one if the radio part worked better.

Purchased this at the beginning of hurricane season because it has so much capability. Can run on batteries, or Li ion, or hand crank. Has a small solar panel too. Radio is am/fm/weather band and has an antenna. A great feature is a USB port to charge phones, etc. plus a great flash light. Wish I had it two winters ago when my power was out for a week. Be prepared. Arrived on time and in good condition. Gifted my sister with one.

The FosPower Emergency Weather Radio (Model A1) – it's pretty neat! I was skeptical at first, but it's actually come in handy a few times. What I like most is the multiple power options – you can charge it via USB, solar, or even hand crank, so you're never without power.

The design is straightforward, and it's easy to use, which is a big plus during stressful situations. The built-in power bank is a lifesaver too – keeps my phone charged when the power's out.

Now, I'll be honest, the sound quality isn't amazing, but it gets the job done. It's not exactly a replacement for your favorite speaker, but for emergencies, it does the trick.

Overall, I think it's worth it for the peace of mind it provides. It's durable, reliable, and affordable – definitely a good addition to your emergency kit.

Sound quality is high pitch and difficult to listen to and understand. The tuner is too sensitive by far. Someone with shaky hands will not be able to tune into a station without difficulty. It charged will with the USB. I have not tried the crank or solar yet. I had one decades ago that was much higher quality

It was charged when I received it. You know how when people get their digital products and toss the manual and just start pressing buttons? Well, you really need to read the manual. It's just a couple of pages. For instance, when charging you need to set the button at the bottom in the right position. The radio plays fine even without the antenna. I found my favorite radio station. Everything works. I tested charging my phone and that worked. I charged it. I notice it can charge my fire tablet. So yay.

I bought it mainly for the radio and phone charging during outages. I have other flashlights, but it's good to have an extra one now. I like that it has 4 charging capabilities, solar, hand crank, AAA batteries, and USB charging. It's small and compact. Nice. I took the carabiner off. I don't need that. I'm not going out in the wild. Lol. Oddly enough I found the battery compartment a little difficult to get open for the AAA batteries. I did get it, and now that I have, it's fine.

I didn't know if I need to recharge it since it was already charged, and to what amount I don't know. So I charged it through my pc. It says the red light comes on when charging, which it did, and that it turns off when fully charged. It says it takes 4.5 hours to be fully recharged. I had it there for about 6 and it never turned off. So I don't know what that means. I stopped it at 6 hours because I don't want anything to go wrong with it.

Anyway, so far so good. The real test is when there will be a huge power outage again. Just made it through Fiona. The power was out for 40 hours where I was. This thing could have come in handy for charging my phone. Instead, I had to tightly limit the use of my cell phone in order to to make it last. And the only usable radio was on my phone which was definitely counter-productive.

The SOS is really loud. But I think that is a good feature if you live in an area prone to tornados, earthquakes, and other extreme events. If you're trapped under rubble you can use it to alert search and rescue workers.

Gave this to my mother as an emergency device. She was able to identify all its features and have it working right out of the box, without instructions or referring to the included manual. It can be powered in a variety of ways, is very simple and intuitive to use, and has all the basic functionality a person would need in a power outage or similar situation.
