"I read this in one sitting, laughing out loud and cheering for Felipe to follow his heart. I love this book!" --Rainbow Rowell, New York Times bestselling author of Carry On and Wayward Son
Felipe can't wait for winter break: Finally, he'll get some time away from the classmates who tease him incessantly about his weight.
But Felipe's plan turns upside down when he learns that Caio, his neighbor from apartment 57, will be staying with him for fifteen days. Which is a problem because (a) Felipe has had a crush on Caio since, well, forever; and (b) Felipe has a list of body image insecurities and absolutely NO idea how he's going to handle them while sharing a room with his lifelong crush.
Suddenly, the days that once promised rest and relaxation (not to mention some epic Netflix bingeing) are a gauntlet of every unresolved issue in Felipe's life. But if he can overcome his insecurities, then maybe -- just maybe -- this break won't turn out to be such a disaster after all . . .

The book was original and perfect in representation. The main character is fat and shy and the sweetest person in the world.
And I loved that the MC is fat because we don't see that representation enough, especially not in young adult books! Felipe's experiences about his weight and the constant judgement and stares hit very close to me as I experience them too.
It is not easy to live through that, especially when one is young and surrounded by kids who has no filter and say whatever is on their minds regardless if it will hurt someone or not.
So when his long time crush, Caio suddenly became a constant presence in his life I was rooting for him to figure it out and be brave enough to take a step out of his comfort zonea nd get the boy!
The little moments between Felipe and Caio were everything in this book. They all were part of the love that was slowly building between them. Their nightly conversations about anything and everything, their confessions, their silly times together, it all were the building blocks of something special, that we only call the wonder of young love or first love. 15 days seem like such a short time but it actually meant the world to these two boys to discocer their fondness for each other is actually a lot more than just friendship.
I also really loved that Felipe was going to therapy and it was a very normal thing for him to do. Like, he didn't go because he was sick or he felt wrong. He went so that he had a place to share his feelings and never get worse! It is such an inventive idea for me because in my culture it is still a stigma to go to therapy.
All in all, this book was beautiful and sweet. It showed the power of friendship, honesty and young love. It was heartwarming and made me smile a lot.
My only problem was that it ended. I wanted more of Felipe and Caio. Their story in this book ended at the very beginning of their relationship and I just want to see them taking on the world together.
So because of the lack of angst and the too fast ending it is 4 stars for me!
I had no idea that it would have such an effect on me.
A truly amazing story that I could not recommend more.
Loved it from start to finish.
I loved this sweet teen romance about these two sweet boys! I loved seeing Felipe find the courage to make a new friend, stand up for himself, and learn that just because someone is thin or attractive doesnβt mean they canβt be self conscious or have other problems. I highly recommend this adorable, feel-good, coming-of-age romance.
I loved the body-positive, it was really heartwarming, and I saw myself in the principal character. But in general, the story isnβt the best, pretty bored sometimes, and I wasnβt too excited. There's plot holes, elements that I felt extremely important, but it was like the author forgot about them, or just put those valuable details for nothing.
The romance was decent, I guess? But I couldn't connect with the characters deeply so I wasnβt as excited as I would have wanted to.
AND THE AND... JUST THE END. It just killed me, I wanted more.

Here The Whole Time by Vitor Martins, translated from Portuguese by Larrisa Helena.
This book is like a warm hug in a mug. And I urge everyone to read this heart-warming book π
Felipe is a socially anxious 17 year old and who would blame him when most of the school bully him for being fat. But he is also funny, caring and sweet. When he's forced to share his vacation with the neighbours kid Caio, Felipe finds himself out of his comfort zone, his vacation plans cancelled (netflix and youtube) and has to find a way to interact with Caio, who he's had a crush on for like forever!
I fell in love with Felipe and his inner monologue, the pop culture references, and even the far fetched thoughts, like thinking his mum had been abducted by aliens when he found the flat empty π€£ I laughed so much during this book, as well as feeling sad for how he's treated by some people in his life and the dent it makes on his self confidence. I was routing for Felipe from the start and just love his story on finding his inner bravery. On another note Felipe's mum, Rita is an absolute Gem! We all need a Rita in our lives.
If your looking for a sweet, heart-warming read with multiple #lgbtpride rep then I highly recommend this book. π
