Only one knock on this... which is kind of a big deal because it the reason we bought it... terrible to clean if you are making liege waffles and using pearl sugar... the sugar caramelized and there was nothing we could do to easily clean it. About 30 minutes into attempting to clean it I noticed there were screws and thought for a moment I could unscrew them, remove the plates to clean them and put them back... unscrewed it to find out that the electrical is attached right on the backside of the plates so I stewed it back it and spent 2 more hours cleaning it. The waffle was amazing but guess I won’t be making homemade liege waffles anymore... just boring old, premise pancake mix waffles from here on out. So I would not have bought this had I known I can’t make the kind of waffles I really want without spending 2.5+ hours cleaning up. When this one dies I am biting one with removable plates so I can make those amazing homemade legit real deal waffles... until then plain Jane waffles it is! 🥲

I bought this waffle iron to replace my beloved Waring Pro that didn't survive an ill-considered attempt at Liege-style waffles. This Cuisinart model feels flimsy compared to the Waring. Its temperature knob turns very easily, so accidentally brushing against it may cause a significant change in temperature. The lack of any sort of audible alarm isn't too much of a detraction--the click of the indicator light turning on and off is apparent in a quiet kitchen. The sound is especially handy because the light isn't bright at all. In terms of performance, it makes a decent waffle. I've not had any stick unreasonably and it's easy to keep clean if you're using a Belgian waffle batter without any sticky ingredients. My sourdough waffle batter hasn't stuck yet. I find the browning a touch uneven compared to my previous waffle iron, but not to the point that the waffles are unappealing, burnt or raw in places.

Very happy with this purchase. I typically prefer a gourmet style Belgian waffle that you just put in an oven or toaster. This unit was really a nice surprise. I love going on vacation because we try to choose hotels with free breakfast and most of those have industrial waffle makers. So, this was the standard I judged this by. This was easy to use. The overflow tray is an absolute must. I like my waffles fairly crispy without being burnt. On the 4.5 to 5 setting this works perfectly. I sometimes add blueberries and it may look slightly burnt when using blueberries it never tastes burnt. It tastes amazing! The only complaint is it can be a little tough to clean as almost any fixed grill might be. I just wish the grills were removable. They clean easy with a wet paper towel but you have to “dig” into the grills to get stuff off. Maybe a long bristled brush would fix this? Finally, this is well worth the price that we paid. And although this unit is going to be used on a weekly basis I feel it is very well priced considering what you get and the quality. Very happy waffle eater here!

I always wanted a waffle maker. Now I have one and it is great! So easy to use. Really no cleaning needed unless you over fill the waffle maker. All you do is plug it in let it heat up and spray with Pam Fill the waffle maker with the mix and shut the cover. I use the highest heat level after making waffles a few times. You can see steam so you know when to turn the waffle. There really is no way to make an error except to overfill. I sometimes make them ahead and wrap them in a type of plastic wrap and put in the fridge. They can be heated up in the toaster oven and come out just as good as when they were made. Oh yes this is fun. I make ice cream sandwiches with the cooked waffles. So there is no waste. No clean up. Just good eating. Perfect waffles every time.

We've been using it for about a week, and so far it's the best waffle maker we've ever owned:
-Waffle size, depth, and shape is perfect for exactly one-half cup of batter mix, which makes it very easy to pour just the right amount every time. This is a very underrated feature!
-The teflon coating on the waffle plates is really slippery and waffles come out easily every time.
-The waffles heat very evenly.
- The cooking control is super easy, just set it to the desired level, and when the light comes on, it's done!

Cleaning is not easy, because you need to wipe between the grooves with something that won't scratch the teflon. This is true of EVERY waffle maker, however. It doesn't come apart, so it's a little more of a pain to manipulate in the sink while washing, but I suspect that this ensures that the heating elements always work perfectly, so I won't complain.

Bottom line is that it makes perfect waffles with minimal effort, and isn't significantly more difficult to clean than any other waffle maker.

The measuring cup that it says right on the box that it included was missing, but no big deal. I use a large ice cream scoop for measuring out batter anyway. The silver piece on the temperature dial also pops off a lot, but doesn’t affect functionality. Super easy to use, temp works great, and the waffles come out awesome!! I also put some large cinnamon buns in there for fun and it was a little difficult to clean after that, but if you’re just making regular waffles, cleanup is easy. I don’t even use spray on this and the waffles pop out. Just make sure they’re cooked enough.

Bought this as a Birthday gift for my wife. She absolutely loves it. Sturdy construction, easy to use, easy to clean.

Ok so honestly I'm sick of waffles at this point. Buttermilk waffles for breakfast? Yep. Loaded potato waffles for lunch? You betcha. Chicken and waffles for dinner? Bet your britches. Cinnamon bun waffles ala mode for dessert, ungh, yeah. If you can make it into a waffle she has and this machine has worked perfectly every single time. She even managed to make cod fritter waffles. Yeah. Cod. Fritter. Waffles. Let that sink in for a minute. They smelled to high heaven but were mind blowing it delicious. I blame this machine.

I'm going to die eating waffles since this thing is so easy to use and so robust. Somebody help me.

UPDATE: SHES STARTED MAKING SANDWICHES IN IT.....

Easy to set up, easy to use, makes great waffles that are crispy on the outside and soft inside. We had bought a cheaper one last yr and there is a huge difference.
This cuisineart waffle iron is amazing - makes nice deep waffles and as brown (or not!) as you like with 6 settings. Non stick and easy to remove waffle

This is a perfect waffle maker! Lots of power to brown and crisp a good recipe. I’ve done several batches of sweet and savoury recipes all with excellent results. Temperature control is consistent and I’ve operated most successfully at approximately half of full power. Cleaning is super easy if you’ve been logical in your use.
