Product Description

Food Huggers are a set of four patent-pending reusable silicone covers that help preserve the freshness of leftover fruits and vegetables, and even the unused portions of cans and jars. Just push the leftover half down into the closest sized hugger and save it in the fridge until you need it again. When the food is pushed into the Food Hugger, the Food Hugger folds tightly (hugs) around the food and creates a seal to hold in the natural juices and prevent exposure to circulating air, which can cause food to spoil or dehydrate. Crafted from 100% FDA silicone, Food Huggers are 100% BPA and phthalate free. Food Huggers are also dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe. If you love your food, give it a hug. Set includes 4 green food huggers measuring 1-3/4, 2-1/4, 2-1/2 and 3 inches.

We wish they sold multipacks of the large ones ! My little guy loves yogurt but doesn’t always finish it. These are PERFECT for yogurt cups! They also work well on those little silicone baby bowls. They keep a tight seal - food stays fresh and yogurt stays moist.We honestly haven’t found a use for the smaller ones (my little guy always finishes bananas, but they do fit the end of a banana well). If any one wants to trade a big one for our small ones, let me know! 😂

This is the second set of the huggers I've purchased. I've been using them as lids for pet food cans and I love them! I'm able to get a sort of vacuum seal with these lids by pushing out a bit of air before I seal the lid, and it seems to keep the food fresher than the regular snap-on lids. I purchased another set so that I wasn't always having to wash my current ones. I got the set with the small yellow hugger for my mom, as it was advertised it would work with cut bananas. (She frequently eats 1/2 of a banana each day.). When I opened the set of huggers I found that the yellow one is a bit too big to be used for the cut end of the banana. So I took one star off for that. The lids themselves are a bit tricky to wash due to their shape, but can go into the dishwasher which is great. Overall, I'm really happy with these, given how I use them. (I still haven't tried them on cut fruits and veggies yet, so can't speak to how well they do with those.)

I saw this and thought someone is going to make millions on this idea. Unfortunately the execution is not everything I had hoped. I got these, mainly, to keep a block of cheese good. The cheese still has plenty of space in the "cheese holder" to reach the air -- it is not a smug fit. So I might as well keep the cheese in a plastic bag -- no difference in the amount of air reaching the cheese so it goes moldy at the same rate (yes we eat block cheese slowly). However, the butter holder is smug and very good.

These are very handy.

They fit a steel can cover (beans/peas/etc) so I've used them on open cans that will be used so soon that they don't need to be stored in a proper container.
