    Great AIO!

    Great AIO!
I decided to give NZXT Kraken a try after i had bad experiences with Corsair Hi Capellix AIOs (their pumps are unbearably loud). According to many reviews Kraken and Corsair Hi series go head to head for the top spot in AIO business. I've tried both, and i like Kraken a lot more than Corsair.Noise: In my build i strive for ultra silent build with maximum performance. As i mentioned before Corsair pumps are really loud, they sounded like a dental office practice right next to my ear; after a while the sound started to drive me crazy. I've read reviews that NZXT fans are not great and are very loud, so as i bought my x73 Kraken i also ordered (x3) Noctua NF-A12 120mm fans. Let me tell you guys, this set up is dead silent. The pump is barely audible even at 100% load mode and Noctua fans are well know for their performance and silence. I don't know how loud Kraken is with original NZXT fans, but Kraken AIO with Noctua fans is silence enthusiast's dream.Perfomance: Performance is great, Kraken is actually fares a bit better than Corsair. I get 35C idle on boosted CPU speeds @ 4350MHz and i get 70C on 100% multi-threading test in Cinebench. Corsair was 40C idle and 69C is Cinebench.Aesthetics & RGB: This one is very subjective, because different people like different things. Personally i prefer Corsair pump design plus their RGB quality & brightness is twice that of Kraken, but constantly buzzing pump was a deal breaker for me.Installation: Corsair AIO was harder to install. Each fan comes with 2 wires one for RBG one for fan control, it also comes with a command module with more wires. Kraken has a lot of wires too, but it's set up was more straightforward and easy. The length of wires was just enough for my needs but barely. One thing i didn't like about Kraken set up is that i could not install pump-head traditionally at 90 degree angle to the right because it's water houses extend too far into RAM housing territory, thankfully the pump head is easily rotatable & adjustable, so i settled for a 45 degree angle set up.Conclusion: If i could i would take off half a star for subpar RBG brightness, inability to mount pump-head at 90 degree angle and wires that should be a bit longer, but all that is not enough to take down a full star in my opinion. All things considered NZXT Kraken X73 is great AIO, it cools wonderfully, it's dead silent and it's pretty good looking. Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2021
This is the best all in one cooler I’ve ever owned. I purchased the 360 mm radiator version (three 120 mm fans) and it works great. The nzxt kraken has unrivaled aesthetics if you’re into that kind of thing. The infinity mirror look is beautiful if you have a case that you can see into. The pump (the part with the rgb infinity mirror and nzxt logo on it) can turn freely on top of the cooling block so that if you put it in and the nzxt logo is upside down you can just twist it so that it’s the right way up. I’ve had no issue with the software and it monitors temps, has a few preset fan settings and you have a range of options for the rgb ring like different patterns and colors. It does what you’d expect and I have no complaints.

Be careful to double check that your case supports the size of the radiator as it’s rather large. I have mine in a phanteks evolv x (a pretty massive case) and it fits perfectly on the top of the case. It comes with the standard mounting hardware for modern amd and Intel sockets and mounting it is pretty standard. It wasn’t any easier or harder than mounting any other cooler. Keep in mind there is pre applied thermal paste on the cooling block.

The fans can get rather loud but I would attribute that to having way more fans than I actually need in my case and not manually playing around with my fan settings to make them run quieter, so I would take that comment with a grain of salt. If I took the time to reconfigure my fan settings i could make it much quieter (they aren’t loud enough to bother me). I’ve never noticed any noise from the pump so I’d say it’s pretty much silent.

The temps from this cooler are massively improved over my previous cooler. I was using a 120 mm Corsair aio and it wasn’t bad but this obviously blows it out of the water (lol). I have a Ryzen 5 1600 and my idle temps are just below 30 degrees celsius and even at load I have never seen it get much higher than 40 degrees which is really impressive. I can’t directly compare it to other all in one coolers that are similarly priced but I can say that it gets comparable temps to my friends custom water loop. With that said I would assume that it performs similarly to other coolers of this size and price.

If you’re looking for an easy cooling solution for a mid-high ranged build I would recommend this 10/10 times. I have had the cooler for quite a while now and have had no issues with it whatsoever. My advice would be to make sure that this is compatible with your case before you buy.

So at first i was pretty skeptical of aios bc I had r5 3600 and didn’t see the need for one. but then i upgraded to a r9 5900x and all my friends said i NEEDED and aio so i looked for one. looked fir the “best one” everywhere and it was always this one. not saying i doubt. nzxts ability to make good products but i have heard some things about how their cases lack air flow. so i bit the bullet and bought it. and holy crap my pc is never hot anymore, even with the 5900x and 3080 ti, and sound from my pc is minimal, feels like it runs a lot smoother overall as well. very esay to install as well, instructions were super clear, i’ve built hundreds of pcs, and always dreaded the thought of installing aios and water cooling systems but this was considerably easy, and actually made the process fun, felt like a kid on christmas. all in all, if you have a mid to high range pc or cpu, consider getting an aio and make it this one, you will not regret it.

    CPU : AMD Ryzen 5950x
グラボ : ZOTAC RTX 3070 TWIN EDGE OC
ケース : Corsair Carbite Air 540
