These are great bulbs so far. They are so bright that I try to dim them when watching TV to a low dim but it's very hard to get that low point. They are very touchy. And once I get it dim sometimes they just turn off for no reason. It could be my dimmer. They are older.

The hidden value of modern, low power LED bulbs isn't in lighting at the lowest possible power, which I never find adequate - 60W equivalent, yeah right. But instead, it's in using much higher lumen equivalents, like these 100 W equivalent bulbs, in all of your traditionally wired 60W circuits, and not coming anywhere near the rated wattage in your breaker box for much better light! These do the job wonderfully, and are a must for the 8 cans in my kitchen. Try them out!

Like the title says… insanely bright. So bright that I had to install a dimmer switch to control them (set to about 2/3rds of the highest setting).

So why not just return them and buy lower wattage ones instead? Because sometimes an insanely bright room isn’t necessarily a bad thing, especially a kitchen (which is where I installed all 6 of these).

Does make me wonder what I actually had before, which were an off brand with 100w equivalent marked on them).
