I had another pair of headphones which I loved but couldn't find anymore. These got a pretty good rating, so I thought I would give them a try. The only thing I wish they had was a Base feature. That would make the sound really pop. Otherwise, these were easy to setup, the voice does not lage and they are comfortable.
I also like that you will be advised when the battery is low. So, if you're looking headphones give these a try.

I love these headphones for the tv. It was very easy to sync up. The base plugs right into the tv and you plug the power into the wall. The headphones charge on the base. The sound quality is great. I like that the on and off button is a switch instead of the older models where you have to hold down until it turns off or on. I do wish the outside of the headphones say right or left instead of the inside cushion part but that’s just my opinion. Worth the money.

As my hearing deteriorated I began having trouble following dialog on TV. In November 2020 I bought a soundbar and the Avantree Ensemble headphones to see if either would help. The soundbar helped a little but the Avantree headphones were fantastic! I gave away the sound bar and used the Avantree headphones every day after that. The sound quality is great, there is no lag between between the TV audio and the headphones, you can turn the TV sound off and use only the headphones so no-one else is disturbed, the over-the-ear earpads are comfortable and, as a bonus, they block most ambient noise making the TV audio even clearer, headphone volume adjusts easily without taking them off.

After a few months the headband snapped. The headband (the part that goes over your head) is a thin plastic strip and clearly not durable. The constant, but gentle, flexing putting the headphones on and off weakens the band until it snaps. Other reviewers have reported the same problem. This is a design flaw and it needs to be fixed; my other headphones, some much older, do not have this problem, so it is definitely fixable. I repaired the snapped headband by gluing a flexible plastic splint over the broken band, and then taping it all together for added strength. This worked OK but the headphones ended up a little looser than before.

In June 2023 the headphones would no longer charge when placed in the charging base. It was as if the headphones and charging base were no longer making good electrical contact. I could have charged the headphones using a cable, but that is a lot less convenient than just placing them in the base after use.

I loved the product and its original convenience so much, I bought the same product again to replace my now faulty ensemble. The new headphones are great, as before, but I worry about the headband snapping again, and the charging base eventually not working. The last set lasted only 2 years and 7 months, much of that with a broken & repaired headband. For a product that costs almost $100 after tax, that is a disappointing lifespan.

Bottom line: the Avantree Ensemble is a fantastically effective convenient product that improved my life enormously. But it's not durable, has a limited lifespan, and replacing them every so often is an expensive proposition.

Purchased this product and have several comments:
1. The listing DOES NOT show that it comes with ALL of the necessary cables to connect to your TV. As a consequence, I purchased an optical cable that wasn't necessary.
2. The instructions included with the head set are sparse and barely sufficient to troubleshoot problems. They do provide a link to their web site with comprehensive videos and instructions.
3. I connected everything to my Samsung smart TV and "NO SOUND" after setting the audio output to optical only in the set-up menu. This is where the troubleshooting came in and in this, the manufacturer's web site is excellent. They have an easy to navigate and understand flow as well as support available if needed.
4. The resolution to the audio problem - leave it on the TV speakers and just take volume down to zero - the headphones have adjustable audio volume.

The headset is adjustable and has multiple features that make it a winner - more than one way of charging the internal batteries. It is comfortable and blocks out external sound sufficiently to ensure you can enjoy whatever you are watching. The on-headset volume controls are tactile and easy to manipulate.

The fact that you can pair two (2) headsets to one broadcasting unit is a real bonus.

I recommend this to anyone who wants an inexpensive but good set of headphones to enjoy their shows without disturbing others.
