Wickedbone Smart Bone

For Both Dogs and Cats

White and Blue colors are available

1. Wickedbone has been designed to be as safe, soft and strong as your dog needs it to be. However, it might not be best suited for those SUPER aggressive chewers. If they chew very hard, Bite marks may occur.

2. You need to lift the bone-shaped rubber to charge the unit as there is no connector for the button. This is because the pets may tear the cover from the Wickedbone and swallow. You can also take this off directly, it will not affect playing. However, you should be careful not to lose it.

3. The sound effect emanate from the phone. But you may also turn off the “Sounds” on “Setting” section.

4. Although the Bluetooth connection range is up to 30 feet, we recommend that you stay within 10 feet for better stability.

5. When not in use, the bone will switch to sleep mode automatically, To wake it up again, you need to switch on the bluetooth, click the "connection" button and TOUCH YOUR PHONE WITH wickedbone to connect.

6. In cases when your pets have no interest at first, the following steps will help to attract their interests and avoid a situation of the pets getting freaked out by Wickedbone.

i. Put your pet’s favorite food at the bottom, and then guide the pet to eat the food at the bottom of the bone while helping him/her to interact with the bone through the food.

ii. Instead of a cell phone connection at the beginning, you may interact with the pet with a bone in your hand to familiarize the pet with his/her new toy so he/she doesn't get scared when it moves.

iii. When the device is connected to your phone, you may leave some time for pets to be familiar with Wickedbone by starting with soft actions, i.e. nod head, lift head, etc. Meanwhile, you may customize the setting of “speed, acceleration, and swerve” to be “Slow" . Configure via Settings > Performance > Customize

After several times of familiarity, relevant improvements can be made.

Not worth the money, sadly.
3 out of 5 stars
Not worth the money, sadly.
First, I gave this 3 stars instead of 2 because my dog actually does like playing with it, but that on its own isn’t enough, since my dog also loves cardboard boxes.Problems:1. There is a connector port that is in the middle of the bone. You use it to charge. There is a tiny silicone piece — I’m talking fingernail clipping small — that plugs in to cover the port. It’s not lost, because I know I put it down on one of two tables, but it is lost because I can’t even see it amongst my clutter. It’s also white and it blends in. Just crossing my fingers that no slobber ends up in the charge port. Would’ve been smarter to put this under the tire. However,2. I can’t figure out how to take the tires off except brute force which just seems like a really good opportunity to accidentally punch myself in the teeth. This is a big deal because Ruby chewed threw the tires in hours. They are supposed to be replaceable. I certainly hope so. Take a look at the attached photos. We’re a bit concerned about her eating this stuff.3. Without your phone on it is literally just a plastic bone. It has an automatic mode but the maximum setting is 20 minutes and your phone needs to be on and within 30’. This defeats at least 1/2 the reason I bought it — to entertain her while I’m busy. Further, I think it’s less fun for her in automatic mode. I thought it was supposed to have a “smart” function that learns your dog’s behavior, but it just seems like random movements to me.4. Battery life is not spectacular considering that it’s made to entertain a puppy. Again, since the maximum session length is 20m you’d think the battery would last for more than a handful of sessions. It charges for maybe an hour or two for maybe 6-10 20m sessions is my estimate from memory. All in all I say save a bunch of money and buy a 10$ motorized bouncing ball toy. Ruby has gone through about five of them but she never gets sick of it and she can use it whenever she wants.

This is a great gift for a tech-friendly person. Father’s Day, I’m looking at you. Or you can splurge for yourself.

I’ve had it for a couple days and it’s fun! It will be the type of toy that I show off to my friends.

I rated it 5 stars because it’s technologically advanced and good enough to be good. But it reminds me of first generation robot vacuums - works as advertised but still needs work.

1. The ball is attractively designed and my puppy hasn’t destroyed it (yet). But I shudder every time he sinks his teeth into it. It’s expensive enough that I will be annoyed if it doesn’t last. Time will tell. It needs to have a replaceable exterior.
2. The auto-play function is cleverly designed. The bone taunts mercilessly and hilariously. But there are 10-15 second gaps in between movements which caused my border collie to lose interest. It needs multiple auto-play scenarios, like workout machines, so that you can play the one that your dog likes. You can adjust the activity-level settings, but that doesn’t do enough.
3. It’s best in manual play, what a blast! The preset command buttons, such as spin, are easy to use and effective. But the joystick was unintuitive and a bit frustrating to me - perhaps a joystick gamer would be better at it. And how the heck am I supposed to know which way the bone considers “forward” vs “backward”?!?
4. It’s much better on hard surfaces. It kinda works on my low-pile rugs, but not as well and struggles to transition between surface types.
5. The battery isn’t very good. You need to recharge it after every play session. Yes, you will forget and it will be dead when you want to use it. Of course, battery life is a problem for everything with batteries, so welcome to the club, wickedbone.

I was super excited about this purchase and now I'm so sad I wasted my money! I will say the idea is there but it needs tweaked quite a bit! First thing is it’s super hard and the way it moves it wouldn’t feel good to have it hit their teeth or face or anywhere really. Also the app is not good! It has to many things I could point out but def just needs someone to get in there and get it all the way together. The pup ended up chewing off the one end and now it just sits in the corner waiting for me to toss it in the trash. It’s hard to do bc it wasn’t cheap!

I really love this thing, and I REALLY wanted it to work for us. We bought it for our 50lb lab mix for his adoption anniversary. He “plays with” (barks at and tries to chomp, playfully) the Roomba vacuum, and loved chasing around a little RC car that my brother got for Christmas. So I KNEW he’d love this toy. And he did!
But, it’s too small for our medium dog, and definitely not durable for a heavy chewer like him. I love the idea that the toy can “run away” from him. But, it moves pretty slow and our dog can take one step and pick it up. I thought it would be okay if he does pick it up, because then it would spin and fall out of his mouth, and the game continues. No. If he has one half in his mouth, it stops spinning, and the other half continues. It’s definitely not a toy for dogs that are bigger than 25 pounds.
If your dog likes to chase things and not grab them with his mouth, then this toy might be good for you. For us, it was a really awesome concept that, unfortunately, failed in execution. So we did return the toy. If it were bigger - like, big enough that the dog couldn’t pick it up (or at least not easily) - or much faster and stronger, where it would still spin in his mouth so he would spit it out, and he’d actually find challenge in chasing it, I would definitely try this product again.
I would be really excited if the company read this review and started working on a larger size / a version more equipped for big dogs & heavy chewers!!!!

I feel like the cost of this is so over priced. However, I’m sure the company put a lot into making the device because it is very electronic. It’s safe for ur pet in my opinion. Battery is decent. My pet will play with it but easily gets bored of it. That’s why I bought it bc he was bored. I feel like for the price it should do more things. It’s actually difficult to drive. I was worried the spinning would boo my dog in the nose but it doesn’t and if it did I don’t think it would cause damage. It’s a cool toy but I wish I hadn’t spent the money on it bc my dog could care less. He would rather play with a cat toy 😂. This product is also pretty heavy but once the dog gets used to it they can carry it around. The remote control aspect is great. Wish the toy made the sounds instead of the app when pushing buttons because the dog was super interested in the sound.

After reading reviews and seeing some of them really chewed up I was concerned based on the price. HOWEVER, this is basically a remote control dog bone. It’s not meant to be a chew toy in the slightest. I do LOVE it regardless. It is awesome for my super smart, puzzle beating, needs a challenge dog. For a solid 40 minutes she was engaged by it! I drove it around my house using the app and she followed close behind it. Any time she picked it up and brought it to her bed I would hit the jump or spin mode to free myself and I was off again driving it into another room with her hot on my tail! It banged against walls, under tables, and across lighter runner carpets with ease. The interactive mode responded to her pawing at it and was fun to watch, but again it’s a remote controlled toy. No different if you were driving an actual RC Car around your pets. It’s not designed to be pinned between paws and chewed or left unsupervised. It’s meant to offer stimulation and something different other than fetch. We bought the battery operated ball with a weasel on it and although that is also a big hit, she catches it and within 10 minutes before accepting that it just rolls around. This WickedBone allows us to chase her, be hunted by her, and move in unpredictable ways. Highly recommend, but definitely not a toy you just leave out when you’re not in the room.

I think this is amazing! I have a husky and initially she was kind of freaked out by the manual mode but she grew accustomed to it. It is so durable as this dog chucks it and drops it on the floor pretty often.
