AOC has Biden’s back: ‘He is not leaving this race’

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has President Joe Biden’s back amid growing calls within the Democratic Party for the 81-year-old cognitively challenged president to step aside.

The great irony here is that six short years ago, AOC was elected as the youngest member of Congress, challenging the party establishment and declaring “it was time for generational, racial and ideological change,” as the New York Times noted in 2018. Now, she’s a reliable mouthpiece for said establishment, hawking for an old white male for president.

Holding court on Capitol Hill, Ocasio-Cortez crowed, “I have spoken to the president over the weekend. I have spoken with him extensively.”

“He made clear then and he has made clear since that he is in this race. The matter is closed,” declared the socialist bar girl. “He has reiterated that this morning, he has reiterated that to the public. Joe Biden is our nominee, he is not leaving this race, he is in this race, and I support him.”

AOC pivoted away from any focus on Biden’s mental acuity and attacked presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and the GOP.

“Now, what I think is critically important right now is that we focus on what it takes to win in November because he is running against Donald Trump, who is a man with 34 felony convictions, that has committed 34 felony crimes, and not a single Republican has asked Donald Trump to not be the nominee,” she added.

Ocasio-Cortez said she has “communicated” to Biden and the White House what they need to do to win in November, raising the issues of expanding Medicare and Social Security, and providing rent relief to the “working class.”

“If we can do that and continue our work on student loans, secure a ceasefire, and bring those dollars back into investing in public policy, then that’s how we win in November. That’s what I’m committed to,” she said.

Two other members of the radical left “Squad” have given the geriatric president their stamp of approval, according to the New York Post, U.S. Reps. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

“He’s been the best president of my lifetime, and we have his back,” Omar said.
