Received replacement air filter and it works great! This is a great size if you are not looking for something big. The highest setting is still very quiet. There is a pretty light that emits from the bottom. I can’t say enough about Bissel customer service, they sent a replacement in two days, no extra charge for shipping. Original review : Unit did not work out of the box so rating at this time one star. Contacted Bissel for service and I have to say the customer service I was provided was amazing. In the end they are sending a new unit, I will update this review once a working unit has been received. Also should note, the unit purchased through Amazon I was told by Bissel that the warranty had expired before my purchase, however replacement will have a full 1 year warranty period.

I have one of these in my office at work to help clean the air of smoke and other contaminants and I would not be without it. As I am severely allergic to dust and some pollen, I bought this one for my bedroom. I have had it running for two weeks and I can tell an immediate difference. My nose has completely cleared thanks to the work of this unit. It has several modes. The high mode works great and has a louder hum, but it is more white noise than anything. The low mode is very quiet. The sleep mode is quietest of all. There is also a blue light that shines on the surface it is sitting on. The filter is very easy to change and the device will tell you when it needs changing. I highly recommend.

I bought this to have in the bathroom. Have the cat litter box in there. This comes with 2 fan speeds. I have to keep it on low as the high is so loud it's terrible. Low doesn't do much as far as assisting with box dust or smells and I can not see the size of this working properly for the area it recommends. I got this on sale and it's perfect size for the bathroom but I really prefer the bigger Bissell for the rest of the house. Would not purchase again when it no longer works.

Few things to mention:
1) At first it had a smell (like gas or burning rubber). Contacted Bissell, they said the smell will go away and IT DID after 2-3 weeks. So, don't panic if it smell in the beginning!
2) The "Sleep" mode is too light (my opinion). You can sleep with "low" mode cuz it is very quiet too. Bissell should've made low mode to sleep mode and low mode to medium mode, which is lacking.
3) On high, it is loud. But I only use it before sleep or when I'm away from the bedroom.
4) The light is nice blue light night. Will turn on high and with light on and walk away until its time to sleep. Gives some light to the bedroom.
5) It has timer for 1 hr or 4 hr or 8 hr and I use it everyday. Bisell should've added 2 hrs instead of 1 hr but for other times is a good amount. I mostly use 4 and 8 hrs.
6) I bought Bissell brand cuz I know where I can buy the filter in many years from now and that is important. (I have a "old" air purifier that still works great but I had very hard time locating air filters and ended up paying a lot for it.)
Overall, it is a great air purifier and glad I got it for my bedroom. I may get another one for the kitchen.

I can’t believe how quiet it is; I have to double check if it is actually on. The light up feature is pretty nice for a night light also. And the timer feature is good, but I leave the unit on all the time. I feel like it must filter very well because after running it for a little over a month now, my allergies have not been acting up and they’re usually terrible this time of year. Easy controls, and the purple is such a nice touch for the color.

It's a tad loud at full but almost silent on low setting. I sit right next to it tho so I'm only 2 ft from it mostly when it is on. It is really quiet at the low setting and I like th timer setting as I set it for 4 hours and go out and come back to cleaner air.. cool lights and timer settings. All in all a good buy
