Richard Dadoo Bio

Richard Dadoo (STERN ’84) has been a valued supporter and advocate of NYU Stern since he graduated with his MBA degree in 1984. A passionate and dedicated leader of Stern alumni in Mexico City, Ricardo has taken on the responsibility of creating communityand initiating most alumni gatherings and programs there. These events include hosting Mexican business leaders such as the CEO of Banorte, Mexico’s largest Mexican-owned bank, and the former Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico.

He has coordinated informal alumni meet-ups and happy hours, hosted current MBA students when they visit Mexico City as part of their Global Study Tour, and arranged new student send-offs to welcome newly accepted Stern students to the NYU community before they head to New York.In Fall 2020, Ricardo organized a virtual alumni panel discussion on current trends in American and Mexican venture capital that was broadcast not only to the alumni of Mexico, but to Stern alumni around the world. He remains in close contact with Stern Deans to promote the importance of recruiting students from Mexico.

In addition to his efforts to create community in Mexico City with the regional Stern alumni group, Ricardo has selflessly given his time to the MBA Admissions office to support and build the Stern brand by hosting numerous events for prospective students to encourage applications to NYU over the past 15 years. Ricardo not only meets with prospective students at events--he fosters relationships and provides guidance while being an ambassador for Stern. Ricardo is considered one of the most valued and tenured regional alumni leaders for NYU Stern.
