duncplunk Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

11th time and as good as ever! The food, service and facilities are fantastic, but above all its the staff that make this hotel stand out from the rest. We travelled with friends who were experiencing Rixos Sharm El Sheikh for the first time and we all had a brilliant holiday. The al a carte restaurants are all fabulous, but if I had to pick one, it would be the Turkish very closely followed by Salt, the seafood restaurant. Even the Palm, buffet restaurant, is very very good with a massive range of food to choose from and it’s always fabulously presented. The evening entertainment was, in the main, very good. With DJ’s, dancers, acrobats and theme nights there’s something for everyone. There’s also an extensive sport and fitness programme everyday at the Lagoon pool, where they also have the pool parties. Or if you’re like me and prefer the peace and quiet to relax, you can laze around the Oasis bar and pool, so something for everyone. But as I said at the beginning, it’s the staff the make this hotel. They are well trained, approachable, polite and very friendly, and that goes from the reception and guest relations to the chefs (who create some fantastic very tasty food) and the cleaners to the bar and waiting staff. Well done to Rixos for the brilliant training these guys receive, thank you to all. They are all very good but there are a few individuals who went even further to make our stay a truly memorable holiday, they are in no particular order; Islam, Mohamed, Ahmed, Ali, Yousef and Ayman - Oasis bar and pool Ahmed, Mohamed, Yousef, Mostaffa, Mohamed and Islam - Palm restaurant Abdul, Islam - beach bar Mohamed, Gomaa, Sayed - Salt restaurant Haney and the young lady who greeted us (sorry forgot your name) - Taj Mahal restaurant Ahlam, Yehia, Eman Turkish restaurant I’m sorry if my spelling isn’t correct and also for the guys I have forgotten, but thank you very much for the excellent service you provided to us, we all had a great time! We will be back!! 👍

Great service, great buffet food, literally all the staff will be smiling and happy to tend to your requests. Thank you Shaymaa, Abdelrahman, Alaa el Din, Reda, Ibrahim. The daily night shows were entertaining, unique and different. You'll always find something to do! Will be coming back!

Everything was perfect except one thing, the internet in our rooms ( 6101 +6103) wasn’t good. There almost was no WiFi i called the reception 2 times about this they told me that they are sending IT guy to fix it but the problem wasn’t fixed. Also one more thing that the restaurants were full from day one only had a chance to eat in one restaurants everything except this two things was super perfect. We are considering coming back on august or September.

Overall great holiday but aspects of customer service needs improvement as holiday makers must be treated equally.

The hotel is luxury. Food and entertainment amazing. The service however was a let down. The waiters gave priority and preference to westerners. I was disappointed and upset when the waiters served others that came to the bars after me and ignored my presence. This occurred at the reception bar and beach bars. After serving every one else was when the waiters took my order. Not the service expected from a multi cultural resort which ought to welcome guests from all ethnic and diverse backgrounds. Felt pressured in writing a review whilst customer services were watching over me. So could not write a honest review at that time. There’s no point in having highly rated facilities if the delivery of service is not inclusive and discriminatory.

5 out of 5 Taj Absolutely out of this world . Mohammed the best server so attentive happy helpful .wonderful experience. Best restaurant in rixos sharm . Cannot do enough for you . Lamb so tender . Service 5/5 food 10-10 . Pool boys amazing. Rooms to spacious & clean ( deluxe room ) Mohammed pool bar oasis absolutely the happiest most gracious curtious man we have had . Drinks always replenish remembers what u have & at what time . Truly amazing hotel
