We book every year one night in this hotel during the festival. Why do we go every time back? First the hotel is modern and very well maintained. It is a modern hotel but in my view the 'better' Novotel'. Rooms are not small and very clean with all necessary modern comfort. Breakfast is a relatively large buffet; obviously not Michelin star but in any case nothing to complain. Other plus is that they have their own parking but also it is outside the old city but literally opposite the wall which means, the whole center is in less than 5' walking distance. Where would you find an hotel easily accessible by car but in walking distance of the old town and at the same time offering you all modern comfort at a correct price? That is why we book it every year

We stayed for one night ahead of our river cruise. The hotel is just a few blocks from the train station and Old Town. The room was very comfortable and the continental breakfast delicious. The staff were all friendly and happy to recommend restaurants and provide directions. The shower was not very intuitive to turn on/off but that's the only drawback we had.

The hotel doesn't appear to follow Novotel brand standards, we stayed at Novotel London Bridge a far better experience than Avignon. Smoking around the pool area allowed the horrible smell to permeate the bar and restaurant. The lobby area was untidy and scruffy, lacking attention to detail.

My Couples - Confirmed reviews ALL

We booked the hotel because of its good location. The reception staff were overall friendly. The cleaning service (housekeeping) was bot up to standard, though. Broken, non-functional bath gel bottles were not replaced even when the staff were asked to, used teabags and sugar were not replaced and the functioning of the sinks was not even checked. The water in the shower took ages to go through, and again nothing was done. Cupboard doors did bot close, and an adjustment of two minutes with a screwdriver seemed not possible. Overall, the maintenance was not optimal.
