Second time at the Sofitel, breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent covering a wide range of tastes. Great cocktails by Ludovic. Range of sunbeds and water sports available. Wonderful place to go for hassle free rest and recovery right on the beautiful beach.

I had a wonderful experience with Sofitel. The staff is top tier, the kitchen manager Mike was very helpful in explaining the local wines and cuisines of the day. The front desk staff was very helpful as well. They made sure this trip was very memorable in assisting change my room due to my discomfort to some of the older amenities. I wish I could remember his name in giving him the honorable mention but I do appreciate it Sir!

It was fine. The rooms and the property are dated and many of the restaurants were closed during our stay.

Beautiful beach

My daughter and I researched where to stay in Mauritius and having a heated adult pool certainly was a selling point for Sofitel. Unfortunately on check in we were advised that they had decided to allow children in the adult pool because the other pool was too cold for them. This was not supervised or have any restrictions on the use. Children ran around, screaming, splashing etc with limited supervision. It was very difficult to even get a bed to lay on as the families grabbed several beds per family. The staff were really lovely and helpful and the accomodation was comfortable. We ordered room service one night and was told it would be 20 min. One hour later we rang them back and they said it would be another 30 min. When it arrived one dish, the calamari, was completely cold. It clearly had been cooked a long time prior to delivery and was not edible. The other two things we had ordered were ok but not great. Even though they had several food options you were not able to buy a cake or some sweet treats for afternoon tea.

I had a brilliant holiday and was made to feel very welcome! Celebrated my birthday at your hotel and was sent a cake to my room to celebrate, The room we stayed in was nice although the view of the sea was limited - trees in way hiding the beautiful view. We did pay extra for a sea view room , so was a little disappointed. Also the room was very musty on arrival (got used to it after a few days). Apart from those 2 details - our stay with you was great
