Well, what can I say, there is nothing “styles” about this hotel. When I entered the hotel, it gave me a CitizenM vibe, which by the way are great and Ibis is trying to emulate. But far from successful on this attempt! The lack of attention of details and the details are definitely important, they could be the difference between a cute little hotel, to a disaster. First and foremost, the bathroom: there is mold in the lower shower railing, all the soap/shampoo dispensers were all facing away from the sink/shower which makes it awkward at the best and annoying/uncomfortable! There was a long hair in the shower which most definitely didn’t belong to me! There were no full body towels to be used. The curtains were undone in the room and the lamps (big plastic round globes) were opaque of some kind of unidentifiable grease. The best is the towel holder was coming off the wall. These are not difficult to manage. It seems there is not building management. None. Well, it could have been a fantastic experience but it felt short of a cheap hotel stay. Nevermore styles!

Hotel location may be a good choice for those who have business in the Marques de Pombal area of Lisbon, but is not convenient to tourists hoping to walk to major attractions. As for the accommodations, adequate at best. We booked a “superior Queen room”. The bed was a double, not Queen. And the “chocolates and mini-bar” advertised were missing. Ibis may be a good choice for budget minded travelers but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. In this case little more than a room with a (very comfortable) bed. It would have taken so little effort to make this experience just a bit more memorable. Full size bath towels, a stocked mini bar, a box of tissues, or even the “chocolate for guests” promised in the booking.

Visited from the US - I disliked this hotel so much that after the first night, I would have happily walked virtually anywhere else and paid any price to stay there instead. The only thing preventing me from doing so was the $900 USD they double charged me when I arrived, which was problem #1. The staff was friendly and tried to help, but was clearly unequipped to deal with such an issue. The “refund” they claimed they sent never arrived until my last day in Lisbon (5 days). I would have asked for a refund to stay elsewhere, but that’s what got me into this mess to begin with. To add to this, I asked for one additional pillow and was told that they “didn’t have any.” So, I’ve been sleeping with one singular pillow since I got here. The bed is also uncomfortable and my back has hurt every single day after sleeping in this bed as a result. Very low effort in a lot of areas and the pillow situation is a perfect example of this. Amenities are either inconvenient or expensive, such as the laundry service, which was both. The 1 star only come from the fact that the breakfast is worth the money (one of the only things about this hotel that is worth the money in my opinion). The staff was nice even if I felt that they didn’t help. Booking this hotel remains my only regret during this entire 2 week trip. I would also add, at the time of writing this, all I received was a generic response from the general manager. No actual attempts to remedy the situation were made.

Above average welcome for this ibis styles location. Comfortable, clean and functional rooms, with fridge. Nice and cheap grocery stores nearby. Good and economical food menu at the bar and a nice restaurant. Kind and attentive staff at the front desk and in the restaurant. Good location for the business sector around the Marques de Pombal area. Sure, it’s not a luxury space, but for a business hotel at a good price, this is a very solid option that I would return to!

This mid-town hotel suited our family of 5 adults. The rooms are small, however are well laid out, the beds were comfortable and there was an extra pillow in the closet. Both the room and bathroom were very clean, and although our room faced the street it was quiet for sleeping. Friendly staff at reception. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant is buffet style and includes options from yogurt, breads, cheese or meat, eggs and bacon or pancakes, along with juice, coffee and tea. There is a hop-on-hop off bus just down the street at Marques de Pombal, as well as the park, it is an easy walk to the Avenida Liberdade.
