Such a wasted opportunity

This is such a wasted opportunity. This hotel could be truly amazing but sadly it falls short. Wonderful building in a great location which with a few tweaks could be incredible. The beds are comfortable and the showers are great but it needs a bit of a boost and some of the staff just weren’t up to the mark. A shout out for Dimba on reception who was a good employee. We arrived 2.45 and were allowed check in from 3 so we went off for a walk. Returned at 3.45 but our room wasn’t ready so we sat in the bar until 4 to wait. This really isn’t acceptable? Went to room but our bags didn’t arrive so had to go to reception as phone in room didn’t work! Had a shower but fan didn’t work so bathroom full of condensation. I mentioned this to the guy in reception but nothing happened. The next day I told Dimba they the fan didn’t work, the heated towel tail didn’t work and the sink didn’t run properly and he immediately sorted the last two problems for us. Asked reception for a map of Paris but they’d run out. Asked for glass of rose at the bar which is sold by the glass but the barman seemed unwilling to open a new bottle just for us. Breakfast staff were good but breakfast was miserable affair. Terrible croissant (unacceptable with amazing boulangeries on every corner), fruit salad out of a tin and a dreadful looking cooked breakfast which I steered clear of. The owners of this hotel need to take things in hand!!! It could be so great but at the moment it isn’t

2nd time back at Boutet and happy to say that it's as good as I remember, if not better. Service was definitely a lot more attentive and warmer - front of house, especially took the effort to get to know us and to assist with any queries we may have had. Rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious (by standard Parisian hotel standards). Would definitely return. This is a nice part of Paris to be in because it's more residential (although that looks to be changing) so it's less hectic and there are some great little bistros and bakeries within an easy 5min walk. There are 2 Metro stations, depending where you wanna go. Also an easy 5-10min walk so this is very convenient.

Stayed for a week. The staff was very pleasant and extremely helpful. Especially Michele. The terrace room was exactly what I needed and I love that the hotel is away from the touristy areas. The bathroom shower and walls/ceiling need maintenance. Some mold/cracking paint etc that needs a full refresh. The decor is also a bit dated. I agree with other reviews that this is a 4 star hotel, not 5. Breakfast was pretty good to me. The staff was polite. However, due to the nature (buffet) I would order it to your room or go when they first open. I saw a woman in there all week who was clearly sick…with a male companion all week touching everything. Why they came down to breakfast is beyond me and was inconsiderate af. I ended up with covid at the end of my trip and highly suspect this couple as the culprits.

We are two ladies in our sixties who picked Paris to celebrate our joint birthday weekend and long friendship. I'm so glad we chose this hotel. They really looked after our needs giving us two perfect rooms on the ground floor (having taken note of our slight walking difficulties) and leaving chocolates, juice and birthday decorations for us. Fabulous, friendly and cheerful staff. Especially Manon on reception who was above and beyond helpful. Good sized and comfortable rooms with great showers. Our rooms (1 & 2) were very quiet. Easy walk to two Metro stations and in a lively yet fairly quiet street with plenty of eating out options. Good buffet breakfast. Added bonus is the swimming pool and steam room which was very welcome after a day of walking around Paris. No complaints at all, would definitely return

The hotel is in a great location near the metro but far enough away from the busiest parts of the city. The hotel has all amenities you would want for your stay: pool, sauna, spa, and gym. Breakfast is delicious and service is impeccable. All staff were kind and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.
