The Beaux Arts delivers on all the best experiences you want from a Mercure hotel - good location, comfortable enough beds, good lighting, stylish, well-maintained interior, an abundant breakfast, clean, with a professional, courteous staff, all at a good value.

Very basic and small

Two very positive aspects: the kindness of the staff and the perfect location within Lyon. I found the standard rooms to be excessively small and very basic. Not enough space to even barely open your bags, one electricity outlet per person. The single beds were child sized. Not a 4* in my opinion, I felt like I was in an Ibis.

Lovely Boutique Hotel

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We upgraded to a corner room on the fourth floor with a view of the plaza. The room was lovely with adequate closet and dresser space. We stayed there for three nights. The bedding was comfortable, the bathroom was modern, the breakfasts were delicious and the location was perfect. We would definitely stay here again! I was even treated to a special praline cake in honor of my birthday!

Wonderful hotel in the middle of Lyon

Being in Lyon for 3 nights allowed us to unpack and enjoy the room and hotel more than shorter stays. This is a well-located, full-service hotel with many amenities and a competent front desk and housekeeping staff. Located in Place des Jacobins with the huge fountain in the middle, it is close to many shops and restos, eg, Zara, Uniglo. Before the opening of breakfast, I was able to get fresh coffee to take upstairs. That starts my day right. Breakfast begins at 7:00. The croissants are varied and flaky. All the selections were inviting and tasty, eg, the fresh squeezed OJ. All the items in the mini fridge were free. We were in "Privilege" rooms which were surprisingly not that much more. This hotel is recommended.

This hotel is in a perfect location for all areas of Lyon. Our room was a nice since, quite big and with a bathtub which was great. The bathroom however was very small. There was a separate toilet cubicle that was very narrow but ok for us. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the fridge was great and free water was supplied. There were a couple of drawbacks though. There were no drawers at all in the room so we had to keep some of our clothes in our suitcase. There was an ample sized table which could have easily been swapped for a chest of drawers. Also, there were very few sockets and none near either side of the bed.
