With generous support from the Texas Veterans Commission, the Texas Department of Health & Human Services, and the City of San Antonio, the Veterans & Family Wellness Program (VFWP) extends sliding-scale counseling services to all Texas counties. Additionally, we provide peer services, and soon, mental health services for non-veterans will be available.
The Veteran and Family Wellness Program provides counseling (individual, group, marriage & family) and Peer support services to Veterans, Veteran dependents, and surviving spouses, including via telehealth and after-hours appointments. A typical day in this company would always seem like a dream come true. The people are very positive and uplifting we work as a team. My job was to ensure conduct and implement marketing and public relations campaigns to ensure target populations were informed of services and activities. I was responsible for all logistics to include food and supply ordering, assesses individual and family needs and provides continuing work/life services to eligible populations. Interviews and assesses clients’ needs and concerns. Although I had a lot of responsibility on my hands my employees made my job very easy.
