Due to unfavorable conditions that prevailed in Afghanistan over the last four decades. Therefore, limited studies were conducted on hydrogeology and groundwater resources. While other countries of the world have made remarkable progress in the application of new scientific methods and new technologies in the management and exploitation of groundwater resources. Therefore, in late 2022, a number of experienced groundwater experts decided to establish the HIGHLAND GROUNDWATER RESEARCH GROUP for the purpose of conducting scientific and applied research needed by the country’s water sector in the field of water resources management, particularly groundwater. This group provides professional services and scientific consultant in the field of qualitative and quantitative management of water resources and provides solutions for existing challenges to government and private charities and water and environment supporting organizations by using new scientific methods and professional software to serve the homeland will play.

I successfully defended my master's thesis under title (Assessment of groundwater resources in the Kabul city area) with a high score. In this study, the groundwater resources determined by the groundwater flow simulation and water balance methods.
