The Role:


  • The Senior Sales Manager will serve as the commercial lead, primarily responsible for driving business development initiatives, managing distributor relationships, and strengthening existing partnerships.
  • This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster and maintain key business relationships.
  • This position requires an individual who is comfortable operating at both the senior leadership level and someone who can operate with a ‘hands-on/roll up your sleeves’ mentality.
  • Must be highly accountable and focused on results. The position reports to the CEO.




Responsibilities:


  • Commercial Acumen - Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives. Identify new business opportunities and develop plans to capture these opportunities. Define sales targets with the CEO and ensure they are being met.
  • Business Development - Drive growth by identifying and pursuing new customer bases; by using market research to stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of business opportunities.
  • Distributor Management - Manage relationships with distributors to ensure effective and efficient distribution channels. Evaluate distributor performance and provide necessary training and support to improve results. Negotiate contracts and agreements with distributors to align with company objectives. Conduct regular meetings with distributors to review performance, address concerns, and explore opportunities for improvement.
  • Partnership Management - Strengthen and manage existing partnerships to maximize mutual benefits. Ensure regular communication and alignment with partners to foster strong relationships.
  • Project Management – Lead the process for local product launches, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure timely launches. Develop and manage timelines and budgets ensure all stakeholders are aligned. Ensure the success of all product launches.




Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of sales experience within consumer products (ideally in food, supplements/nutrition, pet)
  • High-growth business experience
  • Managing marketing promotions
