It was a privilege to attend and evaluate the presentation of the undergraduate marketing students of University of Wollongong in Dubai on the task, ‘Corporate Reputation, Identity and Branding Audit’ on M/s Joyalukkas Jewellery, the final assessment of their 300-level course on Corporate Branding. 13 groups of students presented their audit reports. The evaluation took place at the new UOWD Campus in Knowledge Park, Dubai, that carried many artifacts on their Australian Heritage. It was a tough process of evaluation that went over 2 days on structured marking rubrics. The groups exhibited systematic analysis skills using structured frameworks, well thought our inferences, debates and inferences followed by actionable recommendations. Some of these recommendations are intended to be implemented after getting due clearance from the senior management of the company. Two groups were adjudged the winners. We take this opportunity to appreciate the significant efforts taken by the Lecturer Dr. Prakash Vel MBA, M.Phil, Ph.d., FCIM (UK) Associate Professor (Marketing), who has spent sufficient professional man-hours in developing and teaching the course to the full satisfaction of the students and us from Joyalukkas Jewellery.
