First Alert Early Morning Forecast: July 26
There is a flood watch south of Triangle until 7 p.m.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- First Alert: A Flood Watch continues through Friday evening for Hoke, Cumberland, Sampson, and Wayne Counties in the ABC11 viewing area. An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain will be possible, with a localized 3+ inches.

Good morning! Areas of fog will be possible through midmorning as moisture remains due to yesterday's heavy rain. Occasional showers and storms will develop today. The best potential for flooding will be south of Raleigh this afternoon and evening, although minor street flooding will be possible areawide. It'll be humid and cloudy today ahead of the cold front. Highs will be in the low to mid-80s.

Expect drier conditions this weekend behind the front and rain chances will remain low. Expect clouds through the first half of Saturday, with late-day sunshine. Weekend morning lows will be in the 60s-temps we have seen since the beginning of July. Highs will remain in the mid 80s to near 90, but humidity will be lower.

The high will shift offshore early next week, leading to a small uptick in humidity and rising temps. Rain and storm chances will remain spotty into early next week, with the return of scattered showers and storms Tue and Wed. Highs will be in the upper 80s to low 90s. Lows will be in the 70s.

Have a great day!
