Tom George - Reporter at ABC11 WTVD
Tom George is excited to be back home on the East Coast after four years going as far west in the country as possible.

Tom comes to ABC11 from Hawaii after working as the 9 p.m. nightly anchor at KITV4, the ABC affiliate in Honolulu. While in Hawaii, Tom began on the top-rated weekend AM show and also covered several major stories, including two volcanic eruptions.

Before that, Tom was a reporter and anchor for KTNV, the ABC affiliate in Las Vegas. While there, he was part of the team that covered the deadly 1 October shooting on the Vegas Strip.

Tom has also worked as a reporter for KOKH in Oklahoma City. His first station was WMAZ in Macon, Georgia, so he's excited to come full circle working back in the South.

Tom is originally from Columbia, Maryland, and is a proud Terp, graduating from the University of Maryland (during our ACC days, so he's glad to be in basketball country) While in college, he majored in Broadcast Journalism and also studied abroad in Barcelona, and has a minor in Spanish. He also interned for both WRC-TV in DC and NBC News' Washington Bureau. He loves to travel and also grew up partially in England.

Tom's excited to check out all the hikes and food in the Raleigh area, so say hello if you see him around!
