First impressions are great
I just installed these lights. Didn’t have to dissemble a lot of the car which I was worried about. Instructions are pretty clear and easy to follow. Wires are very thin and kinda hard to move around but that’s to be expected. Lights are very bright. Don’t know how long the battery life lasts nor the actual LEDs themselves but hopefully they last a long time

It comes very well packaged with clear instructions and the AA (3x) battery pack, which plugs into the USB A connector for the LEDs.
Take your time and don't rush, as the wires for the LEDs are very thin and you run the risk of snapping them when unpacking or installing. I found the actual installation very fiddly, speaking as somebody that builds and paints a lot of small model kits as a hobby. I found the cable routing guide useful as a starting point, but did opt to route some of the LEDs differently, as it looked neater or was easier to install.
The end result? Wow. All 4x of the signature rear circular lights look incredible. The headlights, under-carriage, and cabin also light up for an incredible light show that really lifts the set to something more dynamic. The LEDs are all very bright - uniform in brightness and colour.
The USB connector can also be plugged straight into a regular wall charger or USB port if you prefer. I'm planning on installing an in-line rocker switch instead of having to plug or unplug the cable each time I want to show the kit off.
Value is a difficult thing to conclude. The lighting kit cost more than the Lego kit itself, but goes such a long way to making it feel more complete. It's a very high quality upgrade kit and has been worth every penny for me.
