    I grew up with Lego so I'm always interested to try out the many knockoffs out there, and I can confidently say this is one of the better ones out there. There are a couple design choices I didn't agree with that Lego wouldn't have made, but overall it's a pretty well-designed set and a lot of the details and features are very cool. I particularly like the vehicles, Lego cars can often be kind of boring looking, but they managed to make them both functional and cool.

    One thing that wasn't advertised was the arsenal of weapons it included, with things such as assault weapons and sniper rifles. I'll admit they look surprisingly realistic and are usable with Lego minifigs, but I'm not crazy about my kids having those so those are staying tucked away in a bag.

    My seven year old grandson loves to build block-based sets and earns sections for good behavior and for sticking well to his nighttime routine. He loves police and fire vehicles, so this was right up his alley and turned out to be a great incentive. The pieces don't seem to have the best quality control - some of them are tough to make fit, but he just got creative in rearranging them and made it work. While this set probably will probably stay separated from his other block-based sets, it definitely served its purpose and he got a lot of enjoyment out of it.
