The Cubo helped ease our anxiety as first time parents with its great safety features and interactivity with our phones and Amazon Alexa products. We have continued to use our 1st cubo with our eldest daughter but as a normal camera in her bedroom which also allows us to keep an eye on her. So we bought a second for our new baby. It’s relatively simple to set up, took some time to upgrade firmware for first use but the customer service on their app is really helpful. Also like how you can seemingly switch between cameras on the app and can even do a split-screen. Only improvements I hope they make is to allow split screen on Alexa. Picture quality and calming noises are also very helpful. Personally think it’s a great price for what you get. Note it does need WiFi, our WiFi is generally reliable so didn’t cause us much issues as a whole.

We bought this camera to be able to monitor our little one while in bed. However this this has down nothing of the sort. It continually drops the internet connection or even doesn’t connect in the first place.
After contacting customer support at Cubo. They treat you like your stupid and we spent almost a week completing task to prove that the camera is faulty and it’s not us. We had to record these test to prove we weren’t doing it incorrectly. Eventually they accepted that it’s faulty after making us feel stupid and unhonest people.
We have lost completely trust in both the camera and company, which is not helpful when a camera like this relies on trust in the system when it comes to the health of our little son.

After loads of research into baby monitors this came out on top for me, the picture quality at night is fantastic, it has great features I really love that it works through a phone app so I don’t have to carry another device around the house, you can add more devices on so my partner can see our child whilst he works evening shifts. The sleeping analysis is also a good touch give me a better idea of how much sleep he actually gets at night 5 stars!!!!

This is an expensive purchase and in the first year worth the money, the ai works when the child leaves the cot/ something enters it/ the face and roll over alerts. It hasnt failed me and it gives great reports. I was able to record the playback of my child having a coughing fit to the doctor and its uses are amazing… however the roll over alert, the photos cubo takes, the danger alerts the option to record playback, the choice of songs ect which are hugely advertised as features of the camera run out after the “free year” of cubo ultimate. To get these back its an 69.99 yearly charge or 6.99 a month. I just dont think its right not make this clear.

Ongoing connection issues

In terms of what the product offers, it’s great but my problem is that I couldn’t get it to work to make the most of those features.

Like many others, I had ongoing connection issues with this product. No matter where the camera or my router was set up, after about 5 mins the camera would freeze and the connection would drop.

I tried the camera on 2.4GHz, 5GHz, port forwarding and tethering to my phone - all to no avail.

The manufacturers were responsive and did their best to assist but I informed that I had been using a cheaper £20 camera which would stream from my baby’s room without any problems so doubt the issue is my end and they likely use a cheap Wi-Fi receiver in their product.

Had to return for a refund.

Very good picture quality in both day and night vision. I’ve previously had the Tomy video monitors with my previous kids however opted for this because of the picture quality and also the integration with Alexa which can stream the video and audio to an Echo Show.
Initial set up was very easy and it linked to the app quickly, however I did have issues getting it to stream to my echo shows, for the screen would remain blank with only audio present. I highlighted this issue in the post sale survey and to my surprise got an email back wishing 5 minutes asking if me to clarify the issue. They provided some instructions which sorted out my issues. It now streams flawlessly around the house as required.

We bought this camera as we were skeptical having a wifi monitor but were told this system is impenetrable. A few weeks ago we heard screaming coming from the monitor and I contacted cubo who informed me this was impossible. Unfortunately when looking back at the recordings there was nothing to show and we put this to bed. Last week we had the monitor open on the app at night and I could hear a man grunting and presumably pleasuring himself at 1.30 in the morning. I quickly decided to take a video of it from my phone for evidence. Cubo have asked me to send the videos, which was done and their only advise was that if you speed up the video you cannot hear it. I could hear it in real time and this time on the recordings. I can only imagine what my poor child has heard or been a victim of. PLEASE BE AWARE!!

We’ve been through 3 different baby monitors and each one got returned because they just didn’t live up to what they advertised or the quality was too bad. The cubo ai plus is awesome. I see a clear picture everytime even at night and the roll over, face covering and cry alerts are so on point! Another bonus is the sleep analysis you get in the morning that tells you how many times your baby woke up, how fast they went to sleep etc. This camera really is top of the line as far as I’m concerned. Customer service was even amazing. They have an in app chat that I used to ask a question and they got back to me super quick with and answer that actually helped.
My only issue was the microphone. I still haven’t figured out how to get it to work, but that’s not a big deal for us bc there’s never a time where I want to talk to my baby and get her all riled up, I just want her to sleep lol so not a problem for us.
Anyway, If you’re looking for a baby monitor/camera, I highly recommend.
